A rum of truly endless elegance and persistence! An unusual Demerara that blends fruit notes like apples, pears, and strawberries with its typical notes of sugar, citrus, and barrel! It remains among the best continental aging rums I've tasted!

Takes some time to open up. Some citrus notes (lemon cake) and even candy reminiscent of my childhood (weird association). After some time still holds his own in the line-up. Stone fruits, like a great cognac.

Nose: Vanilla, oak, fresh fruit (mango), herbal notes, cane sugarMouth: Oak, subtle vanilla, light spicy notes (pepper, clove), fruit (plum, dried tropical fruit), plus light citrus notes. Finish: medium long and rather mild. There remains a sweet spiciness. Vanilla sugar, dried fruit and again light citric acidity. Verdict: Surprising, able to please. Stands out with its distinctly "fresh" profile.
