I'm not sure I have the same bottle, since mine is 41°. An agricultural ESB. Cane. Lemon on the nose. On the palate, you can feel the youth. Still cane. A sweet fruit brandy. Citrus fruit. Pepper. Short finish on cane and a wine impression. Definitely not bad. Too bad a watery sensation spoils it a bit. Too violent a reduction for me.

Rhum Club de Lille, evening 1: super easy to drink, fresh; pastry indulgence! The cream puff as Benjamin would say. Caramel, vanilla, a bit of cane (despite it being molasses), and I keep this great impression of Bordelais cannelé.

Not great not terrible. Taste and smell of home made booze. Spicy as well. This is surely not my cup of coffee, I mean rum. Agricole. One shot is perfectly enough for me. It was brought by a friend straight from his visit of mauritius.

I tried it today at the distillery at Chamarel after a short tour. The distillery has a seasonal break now and will resume operation during the sugar cane harvest around August. The sugar cane is grown by the distillery, they use both green and red types. Distillery owns a column and a pot still. This one was second in line, the short aging left it with smoothness but also a bit less character. Quite spicy, simple, some cognac influence.

An overall rather boring rum that clearly smells more like wine on the nose. Slightly roasted on the palate but you don't really want to taste the quite nice grape scent and otherwise this rum tastes like relatively little.

A rum that immediately sets the mood. On the nose, it goes straight to caramel, very indulgent pastry notes, and a nice touch of vanilla. On the palate, it's soft, round, it glides down easily. A rum that brings pleasure, easy to appreciate, with that little dessert side that makes you want to come back.
