Black olives, brine and green vegetal notes hit first, then a surprising sweet-fruit turn — strawberry, sugarcane, even a "Erdbeer Sahnetoffee" note some tasters catch. This unaged Le Galion Grand Arôme is wild and pharmacy-like on the nose, olive-salty and dry on the palate. Several members compare it to Haitian clairin or Savanna's high-ester bottlings. First tasted at the 11th GRF, now again in peace at home.In the nose floral esters notes and the skin of grapes.In the mouth surprisingly dry.The finish I like best here, is rather short but brings a nice strawberry note with it.From the profile I would classify him between Rum-Bar OP and Savanna. Less olive and intense than Rum-Bar and less fruity than Savanna.Had him better in memory, is a great rum, to drink neat but I would not buy a whole bottle. In the drink, however, would do very well.

Ve vůni květnatě ovocná vůně. V chuti je to krásný marmeládový la gallion. Velmi sladký profil s ovocným průběhem. Celé je to příjemné, ale nejzajímavější na tomhle rumu je závěr který jde do jahodových tónů. On-line degustace řady S.B.S origin s Joshua Singh pořádaná rum explorer 24.2.2025 Dnešní master class se bude skládat z dvou částí - dnes chutnáme čisté rumy, příště porovnáme v daiquiri. Koktejlové hodnocení přidám později.

Sehr fruchtig riechender, jedoch sehr intensiv holzig schmeckender Rum, der im Abgang etwas zu garstig ist. Der Geruch verändert sich sehr bald nach dem Einschenken von kräftig nach blumig mild. Im gesamten kein schlechter Rum, wird jedoch auch nicht mein Favorit. Sollte ich nochmal ein Sample bekommen, probiere ich ihn als Cocktail.

Floral and mineral, salty through to olive brine. Slightly bacony and with a hint of menthol on the nose. Sweet and creamy in the mouth, and indeed: strawberry. Completely new and wild for me, and really impressive. Extremely mild for its 57%. A hint of the salty olive resonates, which only makes it more exciting. Should make a fantastic daiquiri.

This is a pretty good white rum and I'm enjoy it while looking forward to the bottles I have to pick up tomorrow. Fruity and you can easily pick up the esters in it as well. Dry and fruity on the palate. A very good buy whether you want it pure, on the rocks or in a mixer.

Fresh and grassy agricole. Quality rum.Thats a great starting point agricole rum without spending a fortune, although as far as im concerned its not bottle-worthy. If I were to choose something similar I would definitely choose every Velier’s Haitian Clairin over it.

It reminds me a lot of Haitian Clairin. A kind of oily saltiness. A lot of scent. It's got a nice sweet cane, fruit. There's a saltiness, a smokiness on the finish. I recommend all ten to try it.

Penultimate rum for today, Le Gallon from World Class Spirits. Really good for an impatient rum, nice fruity nose, also herbal and a little ester. Also predominantly fruity and herbal on the palate, again a little ester. Alcohol well integrated.

In der Nase überwiegen estrig-medizinische Komponenten gepaart mit Olive und Melasse. Dann kommt der Gaumen…. 😳🤯 Boah, Grande Geschmacksexplosion. Alles aus dem Geruch extremer und mehr auf der Zunge. Bleibt mittellang noch zu Besuch.
