Edit Edit: also a blast in MaiTai. Unfortunately now empty 😞 Edit: From the fresh bottle it has now really convinced me again. What a beautiful drop. Once again a super New Yarmouth. A little more sharp-edged and intense than the others. But in a very pleasant way, a little wilder, but strangely enough I like that very much. Thanks to Serge for sharing with me as I was late for the split.

Tasted at SDR’24 Opens with mild yet lavish aromas of bananabread, freshly cut pineapple and vanillapod. Not overly estery nor convoluted, with a supporting backbone of roasted nuts, white chocolate and Christmas spice. Accessible. The mouth starts in the same fashion, with banana- and gingerbread with a scoop of vanilla icecream on the side. Then brutally complex with meaty subtones, bbq spice, rubber and burning plastic. What an unexpected turn of events here. It’s raw, wild, and near-overpowering. The finish is extremely long, sweet and dry with more charred meat and gingerbread, followed by an ‘after-pancakes’ feeling of sugary dough and whipped cream. An absolute beast of a bottle, and one of the surprises at SDR this year. The price is (very!) steep in comparison to other NY’09 references, but regardless worth every penny.

Tasted at SDR2024. This was my personal highlight of the festival, a real surprise. Both the nose and the taste are a delight!

Delicious Bew Yarmouth with lots of cookie dough, cookies and baking spices as well as fruity pineapple, glue and solvents. A little pungent on the palate but very tasty. The price-performance ratio was somewhat better elsewhere.

Favorite of the 3 NY 2009 tasted tonight, not the fruitiest but best integrated. Feels a bit higher on the ester scale with rotten bananas/pineapples but cery yummy! Also the alcohol felt better balanced although it has the highest abv with 61.4% Great stuff if it wasn’t for the price tag… //update: confirmed my score, really great dram for the young age!

Is damn similar to the NY filling of CDI for Perola (RX13284). There again a direct comparison is pending. Overall super tasty and from solvent, glue, nail polish, cookie dough to ester and trop. Fruits everything with it. Update: Has in direct comparison with the Perola NY just ahead. However, the Perola NY has the significantly better PLV!

Ohhh yes .... this is a NY as I like it ... beautiful fruit, spices and esters great balance! Alcohol well integrated. A little rounder but also slightly woody and bitterer in the finish (compared to the RA 2009s) a great rum although quite expensive ...
Review by Adrian Wahl
What an awesome release. Finally 2009 NY again. The two more years in the barrel were noticeable compared to the RA. A little more wood and a little less fruit. Awesome stuff. If it weren't for the 240€ price for 0.7 liters it would scratch 90. Also makes an excellent Mai Tai.

Richtig toller New Yarmouth ist das. Tolle Nase.
Review by Mentalo

Pěkný a zajímavý Yarmouth, dobře integrovaný alkohol. Delikátní cukrovinky s přezrálým ananasem, estery jako bonus. Doporučuju.

A nose of overripe banana, pear, mirabelle plum and light wood. The palate has a soft attack, then is immediately full-bodied. The freshness is astonishing, with noble vanilla rounding out the picture. The finish is quite long, with acidic fruit and light oak. The empty glass is a fine summary of this interesting, well-balanced rum.

Tasting evening with Dr. Django (Jamaica): I quite like this Wild Parot NY. Its aroma is very complex and quite pleasant. On the palate, it develops a delicious marzipan sweetness, paired with some spice and wood. I like that, but it still doesn't come close to my previous benchmark in terms of NY from RA
Review by Oliver
Very nice New Yarmouth with typical associations to cookie dough, marzipan and tropical fruits. Pleasant ester and wood notes. The 13 years in the barrel suit the rum very well. The alcohol is also very well integrated. A clear recommendation!

"Revisit of this gentlewoman. A rather charming sweet iteration of 2009 Nye. I think the pastry notes really came with bottle age to be the shining star in thi ester festival. But in the end I reduced the scoring slightly"
