Hinweis: Tätigkeit bei Perola GmbH (Spirituosenbranche), teilweise berufliche Involvierung bei bewerteten Abfüllungen. Alle Bewertungen sind meine persönliche, unbezahlte Meinung. Flüssige stark gebackene chunky Bananen-Salzkaramell-Schoko-Ananas Cookies! Die knapp 3 Jahre mehr im Fass haben dem Rum meiner Meinung nach sehr gut getan. Alkohol ist fast schon perfekt integriert. Deutlich geschmeidiger und süffiger wie die beiden Vorgänger von RA und die meiner Meinung nach auch intensivere typische keksteig note, dazu Backgewürze, viel Ananas und Bananenbrot und minimal zitrusnoten (Abrieb) sowie leichte röstaromen wie von Cookies die etwas zu lang im Ofen waren. Holz ist klar deutlich intensiver wahrzunehmen aber an keiner Stelle zu viel. Wohl mit das Beste was CDI seit langem rausgebracht hat! Und auch im Mai Tai toppt er die beiden RA's nochmal deutlich weil das Zusätzliche Holz hier einfach mehr Harmonie rein bringt. Mega lecker einfach nur!😅👌🏼

Der Bauerngaumen sagt: Das mag ein objektiv sehr guter Rum sein, aber nee, der ist irgendwie nicht meins, ich werde mit dem nicht warm, vor allem wegen des merkwürdigen Geruchs, einer Mischung aus Marzipan und Babykotze. 🙄 Hinzu kommt, dass ich ihn gegen den NY 1994 von V&M (RX10419) verkostet habe, da kann er natürlich nur verlieren. Ich werde dem Rum bei Gelegenheit eine zweite Chance geben, dann nicht im Crosstasting.

A wonderfully creamy yet astringent funky Jamaica rum from New Yarmouth. Lots of marzipan and baking spices on the palate. Wonderful long finish. Very cool! Funky Jamaica with a difference. With this bottling, New Yarmouth is no longer an insider tip.

Finally, New Yarmouth 2009 again. A great release and a great barrel selection from Perola. The profile is a bit woodier and more mature than one knows from the two RA (First & Second Edition), yet the New Yarmouth DNA is absolutely there. Personally, I see it very slightly behind the Wild Parrot New Yarmouth 2009 (RX13281) but if you compare the price of the two bottles (WP 240€ vs. CDI 150€) then I have to factor that into my rating and both land at an excellent 88 and thus also at exactly the value I gave the RA NYE First Edition. Chapeau for this release and every New Yarmouth fan must own and open this bottle. Tonight it goes directly off with the device in the Mai Tai. Update: For me one of the hottest releases in 2022 Update 2: Tasted again against CDI NY 2009 Sweden 🇸🇪 & CDI NY 2009 Denmark 🇩🇰. For me clearly the strongest

A NY of the upper class; and the whole thing is pretty funky! It's really fun 🤩 Lots of esters, glue, cookie dough, marzipan and fruit on the palate. These aromas carry through from the nose to the finish. Light aromas of roasted wood also develop on the palate. All of this together is very intense

Among the mass of CDI once again one with class. A great NY.Nose: wonderfully powerful with a neat package of esters and fine, intense marzipan. Pattex glue and discreet vinegar are not missing either. There's also fresh lime, ripe, tart pineapple and ripe banana. Behind that, a slight sweetness of sugar syrup and something like brioche or cookie dough. Could smell it forever.Palate: already clearly astringent at the beginning with a short bitter note. But then the esters follow right through and the pineapple with lime zest come through. Behind that it becomes a bit calmer, doughier... Brioche and fruit bread with candied orange peel, plus some anise or licorice. The finish also brings back the marzipan with some green tea.Great nose, nice flavor curve on the palate, not too demanding. 👍

Retasting to compare with the 13yo CDI NY. Both need some time to settle down after which this one has the richer, more complex body while the nose of the 13yo wins. Still great NY with a lot of fruits, funkiness & cookie dough that feels much older once the spirit has settled. //update: rated up a bit in comparison to other young NY, great value/money and solid profile //update: great, confirm my rating

This is a very lovely bottle for all High Ester lovers. Blindly could this be a strange Hampden too. Awesome nose with a mix of funk, esters, fruits and baking spices. All those smells are also reflected in the mouth. The alcohol is integrated very well. The finish is delicious with a lot of grilles pineapple and long.

Somehow I have a weakness for New Yarmouth, especially with strong cookie dough notes, but unfortunately there are far too rare! Here we have once again a great bottling, which for me also stands out from the broad mass of CDI. The RA NY First is one of my favorite rums, even if it comes a bit beastly. The CDI comes quite close to the whole, but shows itself woodier, rounder and thus more moderate. Currently I see him therefore behind the RA, but that probably depends very much on the form of the day. Class rum that delivers the New Yarmouth profile, but is also not too demanding. Delicious esters, plus the NY cookie dough, which should be even a bit more present for me though. Nevertheless, class and tasty, tasty, tasty!

In der Nase kommt er nicht zu stürmisch herüber wie die RA New Yarmouth, man merkt das dieser länger im Fass war. Aber trotzdem, funky, funky, funky - Zitrusfrüchte, Marzipan, Keksteig und jede Menge Ester! Nach kurzer Zeit bereits wirklich zugänglich und bereit für den Gaumen! Hier geht es weiter - deutlich höhere Adstringenz, finde man schmeckt das Bourbonfass, allerdings angenehm und der Alkohol ist wirklich toll eingebunden. Junges Holz und die vorgenannten Noten in der Nase sind ebenfalls am Gaumen präsent. Wirklich toll - klasse Abfüllung von CDI, lange ist es her. Für mich auf einem Level mit der 1st Edition von RA NY. Der CDI ist erwachsener und nicht mehr ganz so wild.

Intensive Jamaika Nase. Typische Estersäure für jüngere Jamaicarums, gut eingebundene Süsse, gibt ihm eine schöne Balance. Trockener aber frischer Abgang. Gute Alkoholintegration. Liebhaber des Profils kommen voll auf ihre Kosten.

Un nez très (trop?) classique pour un NY surtout sur les fruits. Le vernis est là pour soutenir les fruits. Presque pas de bois en bouche, toute l’expression est sur les fruits. L’évolution en bouche est exemplaire. Du bois arrive en finale et avec classe. Elle est très longue et toujours sur les fruits. Un rhum parfait pour les Maï Thaïs selon Artur.

Palate Fresh, round, balanced, light wood, oily, banana, pineapple, light cherry, spice, light glue, light rubber. Finish Medium to long, light wood, light orange, light varnish, light floral, light clove. Empty glass Light rubber, faint tar, citrus, light pineapple, light floral.

Nachdem ich persönlich auf New Yarmouth stehe, wurde ich auch hier nicht enttäuscht. Für mich wieder eine super gute gelungene Abfüllung. Er braucht ein wenig im Glas, aber nach kurzer Zeit entfaltet er seine ganze Pracht. Auch hier werde ich nochmal mit einer weiteren Flasche nachlegen. Heute nochmal gegen den RumX Kalender Tag 10 zum herausfinden versucht, ob er ähnlichkeit mit dem blind sample hat. Glaube nicht, aber ist für mich immer noch ein Hammerguter Rum

Ce n’est pas une claque, c’est une caresse. Les fruits exotiques, ananas mangue & banane sont proéminents, une bonne dose d’amande, de chocolat au lait, de belles notes pralinées viennent compléter un profil résolument fruité et rond, gourmand. Que du kiff !

Für 60% ein erstaunlich runder Tropfen, weniger bissig als erwartet. Man sollte ihm ein wenig Zeit geben, dann bringt er seinen Aromen von Frucht und Würze gut rüber. Tasting mit meinem 86jährigem Vater, der einen ähnlichen Eindruck hatte.

Deutlich mehr Holz als die 2009er RA Abfüllungen, dafür der Alkohol besser eingebunden. Ansonsten wie gewohnt ganz viel Keksteig. Weniger fruchtig als der 2005er Jahrgang. Schöne Ananasnote. Bisschen Marzipan. Bisschen stört mich die leichte saure Note.

Ein wirklich sehr schöner New Yarmout 2009, der im Gegensatz zu den 94er Jahrgängen auf der fruchtigen und leicht esterhaltigen Seite liegt. Dazu gesellen sich tolle Aromen von Keksteig und Marzipan. Ein sehr gelungener Rum.

Schönes, klassisches NY 2009er Profil. Für mich einen Punkt hinter dem dänischen Schwesterfass, bei dem der Alkohol noch besser integriert ist. Dafür vor dem japanischen Schwesterfass, das etwas weniger komplex und intensiv daherkommt.

The nose needed some time in the glass in the beginning it smelt kind of sour and after a while I have identified this as a kiwi fruit. Palate and finish are really nice with just the right amount of ester, fruit and cookie dough.

New Yarmouth lineup. Deutliche Esternoten gepaart mit tropischen Früchten in der Nase. Der Geschmack mit nun um einiges mehr funk. Ist echt ein geschmeidiger tropfen mit schönem Dampf. Ein Rum der definitiven Charakter hat.

Ich würde ihn mit "Yarmouth for beginners" überschreiben. Mein erste war von FRC - dieser Kandidat kommt leichter daher, wenngleich nicht weniger lecker. Aber eben weniger Bums. Aber dieser CDI ist für den Preis wirklich toll, bietet alles, was man von einem Yarmouth erwarten kann und das sind komplexe Ester, tolles Geschmackserlebnis und Spaß beim Probieren.

Idealer Begleiter zum Jamaica Christmas Cake. Viele Ersters (würde gerne das Ester Loch hinter der Destillerie sehen). Ich schmecke Ananas, Bananen und Bread Fruit. Mag den Abgang dieses Rums. It feels really funky.

Der macht Spaß absolut Rund, ausgewogen und harmonisch, Profil gefällt mir besser, als beim „Wild Parrot“. Ester, Funk, Eiche, Würze, Teignoten, alles da. Schön weich, mit ner schönen Schärfe, Holzeinschlag ist hier mehr präsent als beim WP. Trotzdem bietet der CDI das bessere Gesammtpacket, nice 👍.

Als ich die Flasche vor 3 Jahren öffnete hat er mich nicht abgeholt aber mein Geschmack hat sich seitdem entwickelt und jetzt finde ich ihn super. An der Nase intensiver Geruch von Keksteig und etwas funky. Fassnoten sind ebenfalls bemerkbar. Geschmacklich eine Runde Sache, die Esternoten sind hier dominanter und leichte Röstaromen gesellen sich hinzu. Die Textur ist angenehm ölig. Insgesamt eine tolle Abfüllung.

In der Nase typisch Jamaica/NY, viel Ester, tropische Früchte wie vollreife Mango und Banane (den viel beschriebenen Keksteig kann ich nicht finden, aber vielleicht habe ich bis jetzt falsch gebacken😅) Die 60,2% sind in diesem NY sehr gut eingebunden. Am Gaumen setzt sich die Nase angenehm fort mit Anklängen von Vanille. Im langen Abgang machen sich tropische Früchte und Ester breit.

Au nez des fruits tropicaux bien murs et sucrés à souhait, des esters, de la colle, du massepain et une legere touche de vanille. La bouche est toute aussi belle et ample, toujours sur ces memes marqueurs. C est funky en meme temps que gourmand et "apaisé". L alcool est tres bien integré. Finale moyennement longue. Vraiment un tres bel embouteillage, avec un tres bel equilibre !
