#4692 06.04.2024 Relaxing at home with a few good rums. Nose Intense, fresh, light wood, fruity, banana, overripe, light metallic. Palate Intense, oily, warm, balanced, fruity, floral, light nutts, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, dried fruit, faint smoke, light salt, faint chocolate. The empty glass has light vegetal and olive notes.

The Long Pond DNA is very easily recognizable. I'm a bit torn on how to classify this. The stuff doesn't taste bad, but something is missing for me. I find it a bit too watered down.

A Jamaica blend of three distilleries. Typical esters, all kinds of fruits. Wood, spices and brown sugar are companions. On the mouth rather on the barrel-heavy side with earthy, musty and spicy presence. Possibly some chocolate and fruits, while in the finish also roasted and vanilla appear.

Intriguing rum that pulls in the mouth like a Scottish whisky (salty, iodine side) Big differences between nose and mouth It lacks a little something to be remarkable.
