Really good LPS!! I like very well! Alcohol content could be a little higher then he would be mMn still ne corner Geiler! Am curious what he brings in May Tai .... Conditions are good .... Fruity and ne pack wood all there ...I'm just "something" missing the funk ...at least Pur .

On the nose fermented tropical fruits, olive, meaty (the typical roast sauce for me at LP). On the palate quite a lot of brine, which also dominates the finish.

Once again a very tasty Long Pond. I'm really starting to enjoy it. But here Tara has brought a super delicious bottling. I was able to try it again at the last tasting and also added it as a mixer to the bottlekill there. Thanks to Serge for the donation.

The LPS of Sample X (SX) I found so good that I could not resist. In direct comparison, both rums are very similar and unmistakably the same stuff.Oxidation has already sanded down the hard edges on the SX, yet the Flensburger (FL) is a bit more restrained on the nose. The fruity esters are not as present, but the vegetal-dirty side is stronger, with resin, gasoline and salt liquor.In the mouth, the fresh FL is more intense compared to the old SX. The FL is again less fruity and sour but spicier and woodier. Aromas are very similar: tea, olive, mace, hay. Fruits are riper and more yellow, yet there are still plenty of sour esters.The finish is again a real highlight in which the herbal flavors really shine again. Top!

An old LPS, I should like it, shouldn't I? Nose: pleasant esters with a distinctly vinegar note. Almost some olive in there. Classic pineapple and banana with some honey, but overall more muted spicy than fruity fresh. 79Palate: esters, of course, but strongly spicy in addition. Initially salty-sour with hints of caraway and pepper. Slightly umami. Only then do the pineapple and some marzipan come in. 81Here the 21 years are really times noticeable. For me, however, it is too spicy and not fruity enough. The alcohol is not quite as well integrated.

A good LP. Surprisingly little wood despite its 21 years. Very present fruit and olive, a little wood. I'm a little embarrassed by the saline side, which is a little too pronounced.

Nose Fresh, light wood, faint smoke, light rubber, pineapple, light caramel, faint citrus, glue, spice. Palate Oily, fresh, light wood, spice, light nuts, light floral, mango, light caramel, faint honey, light rubber. Finish Long and warm, light wood, dried fruit, light nuts, light floral, faint salt, light rubber. Empty glass faint rubber, pineapple, caramel, light solvents, light honey.

The Tara bottling doesn't quite reach the great 2001 releases from The Duchess or Wu Dram. It's less fruity in comparison. Brings quite a bit of acidity. Olive and wood. A bit smoky on the finish.

Good LPS with pleasant price-performance ratio. Yellow fruits, some esters and dirty notes. The age has smoothed out edges and corners. Therefore (for me) somewhat tame. Pleasant mouthfeel. Alcohol integrated.

Really tasty, I like it a lot. However, I have to say this is my first LPS. Very fresh and estery which makes it a perfect mixer. More of this please Tara Spirits. All three projects are well done all around.

LPS is a great brand, and this rum a nice representative. Sweetness, acidity, fruit, esters and wood are well balanced, with a long finish. The longer you let it breathe, the milder it gets. Compliments!

Initially a bit alcoholic and sharp on the nose, after some time notes of esters, tropical fruits, butter/almond aroma. On the palate, however, relatively flat with a metallic undertone. The finish is short and unspectacular.

Awesome stuff. Pineapple and mirabelle gently fermented. Olive, hay and spices embedded in a sweet-acid play. Plus slightly dirty aromas. A beautiful mark from an obviously very good vintage. I like it very very much.
