Blind tasting. Had guessed LP. 🙈 At the Velier tasting on the 11th GRF I found him not good at all, but now already much better.Update 2022-10-10:Once again had in the glass, now of course with the knowledge of which rum it is. And again as with our very first encounter on the GRF the rum does not turn me on. Is just too sour for me.glass not finished. 🤷♂️

Found to be very good at the last rum festival and purchased (we were allowed to label it ourselves 🙂)! Opened the bottle today and I must say that I am still thrilled... very smooth and wonderfully round, for me one of the best Casimir bottlings!

This one was part of the VIP tasting at the German Rum Fest and I went straight to the booth and bought one as soon as the tasting was over. An extremely fresh Agricole well rounded and fruity with all those lovely Agricole notes. Price to quality is very good. The coolest thing was that we got to label the bottle ourselves 😊

Really great bottling for the German Rumfest. Somehow I seem to like Casimir, I should drink more of it 😊 Luckily, there is still a lot of the untamed base product here framed in a light woodiness, the whole is wonderfully aromatic. How good it is that Clairin exists.🇭🇹😋

A very tasty Velier from Haiti. Both on the nose and in taste citrus fruits like lemon are well recognizable. Slightly woody on the finish. But very tasty and recommended. Would buy again.

Diser rum here is the madness, the only point deduction he gets because he is a little too sour and too unround. In the nose you want to think of the Esterlastigkeit almost, you have to do it with a DOK and vlt it would have done him really good to be tamed a few more years of wood and Clairins I've seen anyway no particularly long stored.But it is one of my absolute favorites from last year.The nose is so orange, vanilla, Some wood and lots of ester and more ester .... and even more ester..... In the mouth it goes on with the esters, there Come then still so fermented pineapple, mango, papaya to it and a sour woodiness and somewhere is there even Saffran ? I like! I really hope that there are more Clairins of the caliber.

My 100th rating 🎆 I'm very enthusiastic! I like the Haiti Vieux Sajous a lot because it's more pleasant than the usual young Clairins – but this Casimir is fantastic! The varnish and solvent fit perfectly with the light citrus hints in taste and nose; on the palate comes an unexpected creamy softness, almost like toffee but not sticky – more like lemony crème fraîche. Very exciting, great rum!

Tried last year at the 11th GRF during a tasting and initially failed due to sensory overload. Now, a year later, I find it interesting. A nice, fresh variety of aromas. But at the end of the day, the acidity of fermented citrus fruits still bothers me.

Fruity nose. On the palate then a lot of acidity and fruit. Sometimes it reminds me of a Hampden. Also a smoky note, but I haven't found it disturbing yet. The finish unfortunately a bit uneven. There are always some spritzy notes coming through. But I think this Clairin Casimir definitely has potential if it can mature a bit more.

Great agricole with the right amount of wood influence. Feel like longer aging would turn this wirse. Nice fruityness with the typical fresh grassy notes, some soices from the wood and gentle sweetness. Gets more complex over time, the long finish gives opportunity to explore. Really like this!

Interesting Clairin variety, which with its profile after overripe fruit strongly reminds of Jamaica, especially Long Pond. However, is not what I appreciate Clairins, the Jamaicans can do better. Nevertheless, a high-quality rum.
