Thompson Bros. Foursquare MBFS 2005
Highly praised as a classic, dry Foursquare profile with coconut, vanilla, cocoa and good length. Needs time and the alcohol feels a bit raw, but overall a very satisfying bottle.
Fans of dry, cask‑strength Foursquare who enjoy toasted coconut, vanilla and cocoa notes and don’t mind a bit of bite for extra intensity.

Pretty good foursqaure.
Needs a little time in the glass for the initially present solvent note reminiscent of wood glue to dissipate, but then the classic, pleasant Foursquare profile opens up with mild toasted wood, lots of coconut, vanilla and cocoa as well as a few dried fruits. Unfortunately, the alcohol flashes through a little every now and then, clouding the cozy atmosphere somewhat. All in all, however, a nice thing.
Very solvent on the first nose. After a good opening, classic coconut, cocoa, vanilla and caramel profile, the alcohol still burns the nose a little. Slight notes (in addition to all the classic) of toast and torefaction. The texture is pleasant and enveloping. The alcohol seems relatively stiff for a 57%; it seems to carry the length, with a little astringency at the end. After a few sips, it becomes more gourmand (chocolate mousse, caramel butter) but the alcohol is still very present. Good but nothing exceptional
At first a coconut, glue and solvent nose, then after 20 minutes of aeration, the nose is bewitching on a coconut vanilla tart. The palate is first alcoholic, then on an intense coconut with good length. It's a real pity that the alcohol wasn't integrated, otherwise we'd have reached new heights.
