Rhums Charles Simonnet Rhum Agricole
Coconut is the surprise here — soft, almost suntan-lotion coconut sitting on top of the grassy agricole base, with light vanilla and citrus behind it. One taster caught a "Lipbalm and Vaseline" note on the nose too. The palate runs thinner than the aroma promises, fresh and vegetal with a short, slightly bitter finish. A fun bottle from a distillery that closed back in the 90s.

#6420 01.03.2026 Relaxing with a few samples while listening to Andy Judge on Spotify. A very good mixer rum that can also be enjoyed as a sipper. Fruity with coconut and some vanilla int he grassy profile.

Not sure what year this is other than pre 1994--thanks to Yaro! Lipbalm and Vaseline kind of aroma on the nose. Soft coconut, light vanilla. Some agricole grassiness. Water white pour. Some sharp booze on the finish but I suspect this has mellowed over the years. More coconut, some florals in the mouth. Some earthiness on finish, which is fairly long. Fun to try for sure.
