This is classic KFM Enmore — 31 years on a wooden pot still, all pencil shavings, licorice and burnt sugar, no sweetness to hide behind. The alcohol sits perfectly integrated at 55.6%. One reviewer called eating that much leather "like eating a belt," and means it as praise.

16.12.2022 Enjoying some samples at home with a good friend. Notes Very dark in colour. Nose Intense, wood, tannins, light roasted, plum, light leather, mint, spice, raisin. Palate Intense, wood, tannins, roasted, dried fruit, plum, tea, spice, anise, light leather, mint, dry. Finish Very long and warm, dry, wood, tannins, roasted, raisin, prunes, light chocolate, light mint, faint leather. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while and has nice wood in the profile.

Some bitter orange, wood, lavender and the usual pencil note but without being too dominant. Overall a little too bitter for me, but that's more because I'm not a perfume fan.

Lots of menthol, plastic, leather, currant, burnt, syrup, bitter, herbal, lots of rubber, dirty and dark. Intense, multi-layered, definitely caroniesque. Cool number. I haven't had many KFMs but this one has so many Caroniesque notes that it reminds me of Caroni's 36th release. But I like that one better.

The nose is beautiful and has everything you love in a good Guyana. The mouth is complex. The bitterness and the woodiness are present but balanced. The finish is really long on cocoa and black coffee. Tasted after a Versailles 1985 from Bristol, we find the same frame but more accomplished and expressive.

A very greedy and very woody nose.It really gives desire.In mouth, sensation of lightness at first. Then very present woody again. A little sting. Then a very earthy side carried the palate.The finish lacks length for a rum of this age. It's a pity because the sensation of cocoa at the end of the mouth is very pleasant.Really good.

Mon premier kfm 1991. Une remarquable expression ! Très sombre, marqué par le cuir, le café, le cacao, le tabac... Un côté brûlé. Étonnement, tout cela passe très bien. L'alcool est parfaitement intégré. Il faut aimer ces notes. Pas pour tout le monde.

A pokud tradicnim Guyanskym zpusobem prida vyrobce do rumu trochu melasy, mate v lahvi unikatni velmi vyrazny a tezky rum. Jeden z mych oblibenych.

Outstanding balance - a run that is quite dry and tart in itself, but which repeatedly approaches extremes without sacrificing harmony. Great complexity, intense leather, barrel notes, spices, delicate residual sweetness, perfect alcohol integration - a small sensation, because raising this level is quite remarkable for a relatively new independent bottler. Chapeau!

Tasted at SDR’24 Very deep, dark and rich scent of barrel char, discarded vanillapod, leather and blackberry. There’s a slightly challenging side of sweet soy, pencil shavings and workshop aromas. It’s very concentrated and thick to the point of expecting an oily texture, with a cool and herbal chaser. In the mouth incredibly deep and musty. Opens with dried fruits and orange peels, then syrupy molasses and wood chips, before turning rather medicinal. Hints of mushroom velouté and black soil. As usual with KFM, not the most accessible taste, but very intriguing. Ends lengthy in tire factory and bitter notes of burnt sugar, walnut skins, 70% chocolate and more barrel char. Complex yet wonderfully layered.

For me it’s one of more expensive (or older) Guayanas…The nose is woody and spicy. The taste is full bodied, complex- from wood to leather and earthy tones to the long warm finish…dry and with ter. I also can find tones of cacao or nuts. I really like the color- it’s dark brown almost red, like dark cherry…

Opět mám vzácnou př´iležitost chutnat enmore z roku 1991 - narodili jsme se stejně s vynikající markou KFM. Velmi tmavá barva, na nose je to velmi intenzivní, hlavně potom švestka, čaj kúže. V chuti hutný kousek plný čaje a kúže s dlouhým závěrem

Rhumtour 2025 Wow this is a beauty. In dark rums this is probably one of the better things I had. Maybe misses some balance, but don't know if this is a bad thing. This has lots of leather in it, almost like eating a belt.

Nez : vieux bois, tabac, vernis, colle, goudron, cuir mais aussi vieux pruneaux/armagnac style, légers épices, léger café vs notes vertes pas si loin de la pomme. Vraiment comme un très vieux armagnac : concentré, structuré, plusieurs couches différentes, profondeur exceptionnelle. Goudron, bois brûlé extreme, cacao 100%, très cuir, léger épices de cuisine, fraicheur mentholée mais amertume du cacao. Une intensité dingue. C’est vraiment comme croquer dans un chocolat 100%. Caroni-like, goudron, caoutchouc, café, un peu plus d’épices mais pas piquant, aucune trace d’alcool. Finale moyennement longue, petite perte d’intensité, seul reste un voile caroniesque.

Enmore 31 ans rock and rum On the nose, I almost have the impression of cognac, with a touch of raffle. But there's also burnt sugar, vanilla, liquorice and almost a plaster/dust/cellulose side. And, of course, there's the very medicinal side with camphor/resinous notes. The dusty/plastery/cellulose side unfortunately takes up more space on the palate than on the nose, with even a little astringency/bitterness. Still, the burnt-sugar aspect, which becomes almost speculoos, keeps its place. Small metallic notes also appear. The finish is very strong on the vegetal side with a well-presented reglisse, almost like a medicinal/coca syrup. I took my foot off the nose more than the rest, but there's very good length and good integration of the alcohol. After that, I'm not very objective about the Guyana juices, which don't suit me because I find them less gloopy than the other English styles (Jamaica, tinidad and barbade) or the agricultural ones. Very nice work by the rock and rum group though.

Un nez sublime : épices, caramel, fleurs, du chocolat, du tabac, ce rhum a un petit côté armagnac ! La bouche elle, ne me plait pas vraiment. De la réglisse, du goudron, du cuir, de l’orange, c’est sombre et amer, ce genre de profils est difficile pour moi.
