O M G! Very very good!

The nose is dominated by the Hampden, I thought until I held my nose over the glass again after 10min and found the typical Long Pond umami note! A chimera this rum! on the palate the same game, in addition surprisingly sweet and surprisingly little woody for the age. The rum is already intense but not a monster but on the contrary wonderfully balanced with excellent integrated alcohol. The finish reflects the flavors well without becoming too woody. An elegant connoisseur's drop that does not reach the maximum on the intensity scale, but that is not necessary.Would I buy a bottle? No, not at this price. (Thanks to Tom for the sample!)

Tasted in direct comparison with the Distilia Vane 1983 (RX12843). In the nose, the TasTToe is clearly fruitier and "sweeter". Here I have more the impression of a Jamaica blend in the glass to have (with the "Vane" was the "Hampden" in the nose very concise). On the palate, the flavors continue. Wow, we are absolutely back in the Champions League here as far as Jamaican rums go. Compared to the "Vane" less dry and also fruitier. The barrel influence comes out more strongly and brings a great spice to it. I would describe the TasTToe as a tad less complex, but more drinkable. Both outstanding rums with impressive key data!

again such a 🦄 where the expectations are high (also in view of the price, and btw again best thanks to Tom for the FT). At the beginning, the HD portion dominates the nsse, but after some time in the glass, the LP roast sauce also comes through nicely. On the palate, I would even put the LP over the HD portion. It's an interesting combination. But I also wonder if leaving both separately would not have been the better choice 🤔

Tasted together with the RC HQNB! This is also a very good blend, with a changeable nose between classic Hampden and LongPond flavors! The palate is soft and creamy and also with the familiar flavors, the same goes for the finish! But in direct comparison it loses to the HQNB! This is there clearly more intense and flavorful

Very nice blend, but in direct comparison with the 1983 RA HD HGML and the 1990 RC HD C<>H clearly inferior in terms of intensity, complexity and length of finish. Not worth the money in my eyes...

Tasted against the 83 LP from the goöden age of piracy series. Looking at the price, I must say that both rums were rather disappointing for me.
