In the nose, the port finish creates an unpleasant winey mustiness; on the palate there is pronounced wood, strongly (but not unpleasantly or unnecessarily disturbingly) influenced by port. Alcohol is well integrated and the finish goes into bitterness.

The taste is very dominated by wood, but it's not a grater for the tongue :) ... the rum is dry, but the woody notes are still pleasant.You need to give it time... the first try was about 7.5 for me ... the second try was significantly better (after couple of minutes).
