A pretty good casing where the cask is in the profile. Lightly dry on the palate with a nutty touch and dried fruit.

Of the 3 finishes, this one is the most successful for me. Here, above all, Mal and also Guyana really come through, intense light licorice and molasses aromas typical for Diamond. Sauternes brings a pleasant honey sweetness, as well as grape must, wine, coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is then slightly burnt bitter and yet slightly sour sweet woody. Overall the most successful finish in my opinion. Sauternes fits really well here! For a higher rating, the acidity is still too dominant for me....

I tasted the rum at the GRF 2022 VIP Tasting and was very impressed by the smell and taste. That's why I treated myself to this rum. Now after buying it and after tasting it 3 times within 5 days, I have to say that it is very alcoholic, both in smell and taste, so in my opinion the alcohol is not optimally integrated there. Nevertheless, not a bad drop. What I always have in my mouth immediately after the alcoholic taste disappears is the taste of wine and sweetness. Addendum: Photo + re-tasting, flavors added
