#4874 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, light wood, fruity, light pineapple, faint banana, faint smoke, ester, spices. Palate Round, light wood, faint smoke, light vegetal, fruity, light pineapple, faint floral, light citrus, ester. Finish Medium long, light wood, fruits, light citrus, faint floral, ester, faint smoke. Pretty good release considering it's a blend. A must try if you like Jamaican rum.

Very nice Jamaican blend that comes out of the profiles full of esters but that is really very pleasant. The nose is fresh and fruity, a nice mix of flowers and fruits on a wax/vanilla background. The mouth is more vegetal and peppery. The whole is well balanced, offers a nice meeting of Jamaica and I think it's very well done.

Tasted at whisky live Paris: quick tasting notes, but I enjoyed myself here! Nose: the cane is still there, the vanilla softens the exotic fruits. Esters are present, but not too strong. Palate: fruity, ester, a hint of empyreumatic. Finish: long, ester, spices, slight smokiness. Finally, the best keel in the line-up. For info "This five-barrel small batch was made from rums distilled in pot stills from New Yarmouth (2005), Long Pond (2005), Clarendon Estate (2007), Lluidas Vale Village (2008) and a column-distilled rum from Clarendon Estate (2007)".

I'm conflicted about the aroma. Jamaica is noticeable, but it feels somewhat disharmonious. Taste-wise the exact opposite. Beautifully sweet, quite smooth and easy to drink. In the end, I'm satisfied. Nice blend like Great House usually has.
