Ein eleganter, eher zurückhaltender Barbados-Rum mit leicht oxidierten Fruchtnoten, feiner Eiche und einer trockenen Würze. Wirkt etwas gereift, aber nicht überladen. Die 26 Jahre bringen Komplexität, ohne ihn zu schwer wirken zu lassen. Kein lauter Rum, sondern einer mit subtiler Tiefe und trockenem Finish.

A Barbadian rum bottled by The Wild Parrot and surprisingly light. There is no aggression at all either on the nose or on the palate. The nose is reserved, but you recognize soft spices, chocolate, some fruits (especially dried fruits) and sweet, pastry-like flavors. The attack on the palate is very timid, the flavors struggle to release. The same flavors fade quickly and despite the 51.2 degrees, you feel a sensation of dilution that spoils the gustatory pleasure. The finish is also relatively short and not very memorable. Unfortunately, a rum too timid, too withdrawn compared to other Barbados or Wild Parrot batches and cannot compete with current standards, except in terms of price, which is totally excessive here.
