Classic WIRD profile.
Review by TheRhumhoe
A Barbados rum bottled by The Wild Parrot that's surprisingly light. There's not the slightest hint of aggressiveness either on the nose or on the palate. The nose is reserved, but one recognizes sweet spices, chocolate, some fruit (dried fruit in particular) and sweet, pastry-like flavors. The attack on the palate is very timid, with flavors struggling to break free. The same flavors quickly fade, and despite the 51.2 degrees, there's a sensation of dilution that spoils the gustatory pleasure. The finish is also relatively short and unmemorable. Unfortunately, this rum is too timid, too far behind other vintages from Barbados or Wild Parrot, and cannot compete with today's standards, except in terms of price, which here is totally excessive.

Relatively thin and uneventful, flavors never really develop any kind of profile. Feels like 40% abv or even less

Insapore, poco più saporito di una bottiglia di acqua minerale, 485 euro buttati
