Aroma visualization from community tastings
Renegade Études Dunfermline Pot Still
Green apple, rubber and a distinctly perfumed, salty-maritime edge run through this young Grenadian pot still. One member tasted baked apple and real spice on the palate; another called it closer to a fruit spirit than a rum. At 55% and just 18 months old, the alcohol integration divides people hard — some enjoy the extreme, cane-heavy character, others find it unpleasant and raw.

Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Young, raw, divisive Grenadian pot still People are genuinely split. A few like how extreme and cane-forward it is; others find the nose off-putting and the young alcohol poorly integrated. A polarizing experiment.

Today a few Renegade studies on the way to the future of this young distillery. The Dunfermline with plenty of perfume on the nose. Then fruit joins in. I perceive apple in particular, with an even clearer hint of baked apple on the palate as there is a lot of spice here. I like it very much.
Review by Righrum
Is this a rum? I'd say this is closer to a fruit spirit rather than a rum. Plastic, some fruits and a bad alcool integration. That's it, nothing more, this is really really unpleasant to drink. I hope this experiment will lead to better results in the future

A little vomit on the nose, fortunately better on the palate, but a little featureless and alcohol not well integrated.
Review by Buddudharma
Noticeable off-note on the nose. OK on the palate, but far from a top rum.
