In der Nase super fruchtig und würzig. Bilde mir auch leichte Ester Noten ein. Im Mund dann würzig fruchtig mit einem Gefühl von Honig. Kräuter und Methol oder Minze. Im Abgang geht es weiter, der Alkohol ist kräftig aber sehr gut eingebunden. Wirklich sehr tolles Teil insbesondere bei der Reifedauer!

Surprisingly complex, intense and mild after only 2 years in the barrel and with such a high alcohol content. Exciting! Judging by the nose, I would have liked a little more fruit on the palate...

So far I knew only a few Ghana bottlings, which then also went more in the direction of Florales taste experience. This one surprises with less nose, but with great taste. Especially it becomes nutty :-)

Assuming it is from the same distillery as the CDI ghana and a simmilar distillate, then the wood brought in a lot. It tamed the punchy fruit and introduced spicy wood notes. But i kinda liked that one better

Junger Ghana Rum, der mich nicht ganz abholt. Die Obstler Note ist auf jeden Fall da und stört mich. An der Nase evtl. Minimal gefälliger als der Honey Batcher aber alles in allem doch sehr kongruent mit dem mir bisher bekannten Ghana Profil … welches ich eher nicht so mag.

Franconian Tasting Gang am 10.05.2024 Freshly uncorked by Jarek. So schön ich das Profil von Ghana mal gefunden habe, sind diese sich im allgemeinen sehr ähnlich. Es erinnert immer stark an einen Obstler. Denke, dass die ganzen Abfüllungen einfach viel mehr Zeit im Fass bräuchten, damit sich ein bißchen mehr tut.

Rum aus Ghana fand ich bislang immer gelungen. Auch dieser hier weiß zu überzeugen. Sehr fruchtig, insbesondere gelbe Früchte kommen hier durch. Der Alkohol ist leider nicht gut eingebunden und der Rum sticht besonders scharf im Abgang.

Fais penser à un génépi, surtout au début. Un côté sirop pour la toux mais pas aussi désagréable. Pas à mon goût... Dommage, je me réjouissais de découvrir une nouvelle provenance. On est loin de Mhoba.
