"All about lemon zest and sugarcane," as one taster put it, with fresh cane pushed right to the front, black pepper and a vegetal, almost medicinal edge. This April harvest white agricole from La Favorite is bright and earthy, though several note the finish runs a touch short and a little hot. A few feel the hype around these harvest releases outpaces what's in the glass.

#4781 17.07.2024 Relaxing with some unaged samples. Nose Fresh, fruits, light citrus, spice, light vegetal, light floral, sugarcane. Palate Fresh, round, balanced, light vegetal, citrus, faint floral, spice. Finish Medium long, light olive, faint salt, light vegetal, citrus. The empty glass has light mango and some vanilla.

Tasted three samples together with DomM, which Johannes left me. Many thanks for that. The contenders were March, April and June. Very similar profile with minimal differences regarding sweetness and moisture, as well as spiciness (pepperiness). I see these more as mixers in a TiPunch, where the leftovers ended up from the glass. Wouldn't really need a bottle of any of them.

Another nice la favorite, all about lemon zest and sugarcane, maybe just a bit short in the finish. Maybe not the best release i tried but still good, would have been interesting to compare with the other 3 releases

Very vegetal, even medicinal with a sensation of Ricola candy and a subtle hint of artichoke. A big plus is that the fresh cane is front and center with some spices and a bramble/raspberry side. I also get a damp and dusty grandmother's closet vibe (++ on the nose)

Good but not worth all the fuss about these bottles. The price is also in my opinion a bit high. There is a marketing side that makes these bottles overpriced.
