La Confrérie du Rhum Clément Selection Exclusive (Batch 2) 2015
Most tasters land in the same happy place here: a Clément agricole with real backbone, more woody and spicy than the softer house style. Expect roasted oak, dried fruit, nutmeg and a touch of cocoa, with the 59.9% woven in well. A couple of drinkers find it a bit hot, dry and one-note, but far more call it their favorite Clément yet.

Review by TheRhumhoe
A more balanced, dry and authentic profile than Confrérie du Rhum's Batch 1. The nose is elegant and structured, with beautiful fruity notes (mango, apricots and raisins) and shimmering spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper). Woody, toasty, chocolatey and lightly caramelized notes lend smoothness and gourmandise. On the palate, the rum is more supple and varied in flavor than Batch 1, which was much more concentrated. While there's the typical woodiness and warm spices, honeyed flavors, yellow fruit, dried fruit and sugarcane counterbalance to broaden the aromatic spectrum. The alcohol is extremely well integrated. The finish is very long, with wood tannins, tropical fruit, raisins, sugarcane and spices. The warmth and spiciness come through on the finish. More open than Batch 1, but less explosive, this cuvée remains a worthy, high-quality successor to this Confrérie du Rhum special cuvee.

A great success. If he still had a few bottles to buy I would have, but they're all sold out. After tasting long long long long, good integration of watts. The flavors stayed in my mouth for at least 15 minutes after tasting. Very good, but as always with Clément rums there's a certain neutrality to their taste that doesn't bother me but doesn't delight me either.

Round thing! Clear, but pleasant wood influence, alcohol very well integrated. In all respects clearly better than the parallel tasted Saint James Les Ephémeres No. 7. 😳Who still wants a bottle of the Clément barrel selected by Benoit Bail, should hurry, at least in Germany, for which only 42 bottles were provided.Buy and drink recommendation. 👍

I just got two bottles of this limited release and I'd say it's pretty good. I scored this one a bit lower but price to quality is very good. Lightly fruity with spices and roasted wood in near perfect harmony. A well balanced rum and I recommend leaving the empty glass for a while and then whiff it again because that is a nice experience.

Was already excited about the Batch#2...very nice balance on the nose: young wood, herbs, caramel. Similar notes on the palate, plus some alcoholic spiciness (but everything still in the green zone). In the finish rather dry, and besides toasty, also the typical vegetal notes of young Agricole.

Caramel and honey, nice cocoa notes, fruity and sweet. Balanced, round, good integration of alcohol. In the mouth it bites then times, it tingles despite a few drops of water neat. Woody, caramel and vanilla. A very good Agricole.

Christmas meeting 2023 Wichtel sample. Thank you mto75, it was very tasty, I liked it very much. A nice blend of wood, spices and fruit. I would probably never have tried it on my own, thanks for broadening my horizons.

What character! Perfectly balanced with excellent aromatic richness, the alcohol is perfectly integrated. The finish is of magnificent length. Edit of May 16, 2023: Still as charmed by this rhum vieux agricole as ever!
Review by Timo Groeger

Review by Maxime Clr 🇫🇷
Review by Buddudharma
Review by Alexandre Van Ham
Once again a very nice selection, it needs to be aerated just like its big brother. Thanks to Benoît and Jerry!

Review by Johannes
Very nice, round Agricole with a good balance of wood, nut, caramel and floral notes.
Review by Lot-NAS
My favorite Clement so far, drinks dangerously well despite the complexity and scant 60%.
Review by Matthieu L
