One member calls it a "guter Einstiegsrum" in the classic Spanish style, and that fits. The coffee and dark chocolate lead, with vanilla, dried fruit and a bit of spicy oak behind them. Dry, rounded, mild at 40%. A few find it a touch hot neat and reach for cola, but most read it as an easy, lightly spiced Cuban sipper.

Sehr außergewöhnliches und spannendes Aromenprofil mit Kaffee und etwas dunkle Schokolade im Vordergrund, Holzig dann eher im Abgang. Sehr spannender Rum Cola mit den Kaffee - Noten. - Pur: 4.5/5 - Rum Old Fashioned: 3.5/5 - Rum Cola: 4/5 - Rum Mule: 4/5 - Rum Punch: 3.5/5

A very good Cuban with a rather long finish that’s defending its place on my shelf easily. The nose is smoky and spicy with an aroma of fruits. At the palate and during the rather long finish it’s spicy, smoky, fruity and nutty with flavors of coffee and vanilla

And another one from the average rum category. On the nose and palate you get coffee and dark chocolate. However, it is very alcoholic and relatively strong. I think with cola it's very tasty, neat it's just about okay.

Side -by-side SdC 11y (old version), 20y and 25y. On the nose the 20y is the winner for me. Most intense nose with dried fruits taking the front seat. 25y is quite a bit more wood forwards and the 11y can’t really hold up to the older brothers. Here are more yellow fruits but also the sensation of a (too) young column rum for me. On the palate, the 25y takes the crown for me. More wood than the 20y, which feels the most watered down of the three and therefore cannot provide the same intensity as on the nose. The 11y comes with more power but overall cannot provide the dried fruits and maturity which make the 20y and 25y enjoyable. At its price point it is a very good choice for Cuban / column still rums imo.

Recht simpel und doch sehr lecker. Die Nase ist sehr angenehm karamellig und vanillig mit Kaffee, dunkler Schokolade, Fruchtnoten, würzigem Holz und Walnuss. Am Gaumen ist er mild und für die 40% ausreichend würzig. Ich habe Vanille, dunkle Schokolade, würziges Holz, Kaffee, Karamell, Trockenfrüchte, hellen Tabak und Nussaromen. Der mittellange Abgang ist süßlich und schokoladig mit würzigem Holz, Karamell, Vanille, Fassnoten und gebranntem Zucker. Ich kann diesen Kubaner sehr empfehlen, da er ein leckerer, unkomplizierter Easy-Sipper mit schöner Würze ist.

Ein guter Einstiegsrum im klassischen, spanischen Rumstil. Er bringt eine Süße mit, ist aber ungesüßt. Die Aromenvielfalt bietet Aromen wie braunen Zucker, altes Holz, Trockenfrüchte und etwas Kaffee. Ein easy Sipper, der aber schon etwas Komplexität mitbringt.
