Advent calendar La Route des Rhums 2023 No.2. It's an Agricole advent calendar. This one is definitely an Agricole. As always very fruity on nose and palate, Agricole obviously present. Otherwise still sugarcane on nose and palate.

Thinking about the price tag you get a lot for your money. A fresh and fruity Agricole with nice sugarcane notes in the background. The floral notes are prominent without being dominant.

Tasted thanks to the advent calendar 'La route des rhums'. Very fruity, very fresh and very soft. On the nose the cane is super present as well as in the taste.

Tasted three samples together with DomM, which Johannes left me. Many thanks for that. The contenders were March, April and June. Very similar profile with minimal differences regarding sweetness and moisture, as well as spiciness (pepperiness). I see these more as mixers in a TiPunch, where the leftovers ended up from the glass. Wouldn't really need a bottle of any of them.

On the nose: Agricole rum notes. Leaning more to sugarcane and being less grassy. Quite mild and approachable. Taste: Fresh, floral, quite peppery and sugarcane flavours dominate. Intensity comes in peppery and sugarcane notes. Little bit of grassy notes in there. Little bit citrus peel notes in there. The alcohol is integrated pretty good in this. Good, pleasant mouthfeel. Finish: More green and grass on the finish. Hints of banana notes in there at the end Seems like you can deliver agricole notes in so many ways. This was less grassy and surprisingly peppery on the taste. Quite good agricole rum.

My first La Favorite. It is probably my best of white rum. Nice honey, spicy, flower, agricole smell, very soft taste. I would guess 43%. Finale is weak, but it is unagged rum. All and all, very tasty.
