30.08.2019 A nice evening with good friends and a few rums. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Light roasted wood, fruity, pineapple, light coconut, faint chocolate. Palate Light and warm, fruity, pineapple, oily, light nutts, wood, roasted, light chocolate. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, fruity, light chocolate, light nutts.

Classic Foursquare profile without frills. The dilution doesn't seem too detrimental; in fact, given the already noticeable spicy sharpness, one might suspect that full strength would have been a bit too dominant. Among the now existing number of Foursquare releases, it's rather mid-range – a solid bottling that, in my opinion, you should only own a full bottle of if you're a Foursquare fanatic.

On the nose quite a lot going on, vanilla, a bit of coconut and a very (too much for me) present floral side, almost on an artificial aroma side, it’s strange. On the palate the woodiness is added, the dilution is not too bad, although personally it suits me less and less. It’s not bad, but rather a beginner’s rum.

Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum especially appreciated by rum lovers who are fed up with sugar and looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Simply pleasant and not aggressive flavors.
