#4467 12.11.2023 The price tag at release I'd say was very good, today the bottle price has exploded. Needs to rest for a good while to open up and release all its fruityness. A fresh medium intense and fruity rum with light roasted wood notes. Warm and pretty well balanced palate. The finish is long and warm. The ester in the profile is nice. The empty glass has light citrus and a floral touch.

I agree with Mr. Sorensen that this rum benefits by time in the glass to open up, but to me, it's the best aged DOK I've tasted (~10 or so). It's mildly astringent at the higher proof, but the meatiness mixed with the classic (for me) Hampden high ester sour raspberry note is loud and proud, perfectly integrated with the alcohol. It's complex and well balanced between the fermentation and the cask.
