I'm torn. On one hand, I find it perfumed and soapy. Still, I like the flavor profile. In my opinion, the sherry finish didn't leave a big impact. Not a highlight, but also not a total failure. Edit 17.04.25 After half a bottle, I've gotten used to the profile and give it a few more points.

#4095 This is a pretty good Beenleigh, but I would have loved a higher ABV. Fruity and spicy with a nice light smoky note to it. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some coffee and light chocolate to it.

Very unspectacular rum. Good as a daily sipper or paired with a desert and coffee Lacks in complexity and body. Miles away from the 2007 versions I’ve tried so far.

Quite smoky-spicy on the palate with even a gentle hint of peat, the other notes (wood, dried fruit, nuts) have a hard time really coming into their own next to it. Can not really pick me up.

Actually, I'm not a fan of finishes and especially not of the stupid general re-aging at Plantation. Through the two finishes, at least some variety comes into the rum here, even if the aromas seem very disharmonious and not connected.

On The Rocks: On the nose a pleasant sweetness and Sherry notes with a subtle oak and spice undertone. Taste reveals an immediate spice and oak with a subtle sweetness with fruit that goes a little bitter into the finish. There is a pleasant Sherry presence in the taste that disappears in the finish. Finish is long with the oak and bourbon spice and slight bitterness continuing. Overall this is another flavour bomb release that is only good in small quantities. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose dusty old warehouse. Taste reveals a nice subtle sweetness and Sherry presence. You could drink a larger glass of this mixed but it would be a shame.

Well, unfortunately not quite my taste. Good start on the nose, nice and light, fruity, woody, lots of cherry or rather sour cherry, vanilla and raisins, a bit of nail polish. But then on the palate very strong wood, cherry tree wood but very old which doesn't make a good taste. Notes of almonds, vanilla and sherry. With such a low ABV it's already quite sharp-edged. Long finish, woody, sherry and sharp. Definitely won't buy the bottle a second time 😂

I was incredibly fascinated, so I had to bring home several bottles right away. First, I focused on Australia, as it's a less known destination when it comes to rums.
