Still waiting for the train :-) Really a nice sipper this one. 23 years old, obviously we have a lot of wood, barrel and oak in the nose and on the palate. On the nose I could still detect some chocolate. Good sipper, but too expensive.

06.10.2026 Still a mediocre bottling when looking at the price tag. ------ RETASTING ------ 23.01.2023 Another set of Dictador samples being enjoyed at home. Colour Dark to very dark in colour. Nose Light, sweet, light wood, light chocolate, light caramel, spice, light pineapple, light honey. Palate Light, sweet, light wood, light spicy, ginger, fruits, light apple, faint leather, dried fruit, light chocolate. Finish Medium long, light, sweet, light wood, dried fruit, light ginger, light honey, light orange, faint coffee.

Strongly influenced by the cask. Dark chocolate, wood, vanilla, and spices dominate the nose; on the palate, notes of leather, dried fruit, and a bit of sweetened coffee come through. The alcohol feels well integrated, making it a pleasant sipper.
