#6634 10.04.2026 Enjoying a few samples after work while listening to some nice tracks by Ovnimoon and Liquid Soul on Spotify. This is a pretty Ok release with lots of wood in the profile. The nose is intense with wood spice, dried fruits, orange, coffee, cinnamon and light chocolate. The palate is oily and sweet with wood, coffee, light chocolate, caramel, orange, raisin and light cherry. The finish is medium to long and sweet with wood, cinnamon, caramel, cherry and chocolate.

Very disappointed by this rum. It tastes very similar to the Dictador 12, despite this one is of course objectively better quality wise. Which is of course reflected in the price point for a bottle. The taste to me is overwhelmingly burned caramel like, which to me makes it not a well balanced rum. Happy that I tried a sample of this rum, not so happy about the quality of this rum. I am eager to try more rums from Dictador to see it this is kind of their signature?

Wow, good stuff, didn't expect that. It's mostly roasty and comes across very dark. You can also detect wood on the nose. Otherwise, coffee dominates everything here, that's exactly my thing. Very tasty.
