A spicy rum with citrus notes. Multi-faceted and quite complex. Not as sweet as others in the Non Plus Ultra range but still a sweet rum for beginner palates. Nutty-woody in the finish. Very easy-drinking, I like it.

Un nez intense et opulent, gourmand, presque pâtissier de sucre brun et sucre muscovado parsemé de vanille bourbon, de fruits confits comme des figues et des dattes avec un zeste d’orange. Le bois de chêne toasté s’exprime ensuite ainsi qu’une pointe de tabac blond et de mélasse. En bouche le rhum s’exprime par sa rondeur, douce et enveloppante de caramel beurre salé, crème brûlée. Les fruits secs tel l’amande et la noisette se précise derrière des épices douces de cannelle et de muscade avec une légère touche de chocolat noir. La texture de ce breuvage est sirupeuse, très soyeuse et sans agressivité. La final est longue, chaleureuse et sucrée. Retour sur la vanille, le bois noble et un léger côté épicé. Persistance gourmande.

Now we see something a bit different. The sugar is still burnt and orange peel, but it's lifted a bit from a citrus taste. The added light acidity lifts the harsh burnt overly sugary taste. Still, it's not good.

The taste is sweet, rich and complex, spicy and well-rounded with hints of vanilla, orange and lemon. Rich, creamy and long aftertaste. Leave it in the glass for a bit and let it breathe before you taste it 👍

7,2:The nose has a jammy sweetness of orange peel and mild spices, like a liqueur. There's also a hint of cake dough, with a buttery, sandy feel, like a cinnamon and cardamom cookie. With aeration, a hint of coffee aroma emerges, adding a little more depth. The cookie is spicier and more toasted, but the vanilla and sweet orange flavors continue to ensure a delicious finish. 7,5:The palate is very sweet, even liquorish, and the pastry profile of this rum bonbon is immediately apparent. Sweet spices and cake take shape on the palate, with a very gourmand and round thickness. Vanilla and orange liqueur flow slowly and abundantly, until they coat the whole taste bud. 7:The finish is very round, but very sweet, giving way to slightly roasted spices and a touch of liquorice. A spirit for sugary drinks lovers🙂.

Süß und intensiv Aromenreich, für manche Rumenthusiasten nix echtes...aber er schmeckt halt schon verdammt lecker 😊 und leider auch ein bisschen künstlich, was bei mir zur Abwertung führt.
