The big surprise here is the plum — a real prune note sits on top of the vanilla, caramel and raisin sweetness, and it's what lifts this above a plain spiced rum. Members call it a sweet, soft sipper often compared to Don Papa, with a mild, warm finish. Very sweet on the tongue, but the spice keeps it from tasting artificial. An easy first bottle for sweet-rum fans.

When opening the bottle it gives off a scent of vanilla and raisins. Then it tastes like that to me too. A sweet rum. Very tasty.

Nice spiced. With a really good plum share. Personally tastes very good to me for a spiced. The plum note nicely highlights the rum character. Should be tried if you're open to spiced rums

This rum blend is quite okay. Maybe can't compete with mid-range rums, but it's okay. Tastes a bit fruity, but not very strong. I can't agree with the high ratings here :)

For a Spiced Rum actually good, nose first little, then sweet rum with raisins, fruits; tongue very very sweet, but also spicy, not artificial at all, great for beginners, vanilla ice cream, cocktails

The HeulNichtRum Wave Edition is a good spiced rum. On the nose, I smell nice sweet and caramel notes of banana and other tropical fruits rounded off by vanilla. Unfortunately, the taste can't quite keep up. Very sweet caramel with a slight banana aroma. Also a bit woody and nutty which then unfortunately becomes very alcoholic for me on the finish. The price-quality ratio is completely fine though.

On the palate even fruitier than on the nose, vanilla and caramel disappear behind distinct plum and mango notes. A little fruit brandy, quite sweet but well balanced, a few spices in the background. Typical dessert/spirit drink, if you want to criticize it, then that not much of the underlying rum can be recognized. Otherwise quite natural fruit, no perfume bomb like Don Papa Baroko or Riise / Old St. Croix. Drinks: - Neat: 4/5
