8,2:On the nose, the first impression we get is a mix of dried fruits like apricots, raisins, dates and honeyed banana, followed by gourmet caramel, chocolate, toasted walnuts and just a hint of smoke before the sherry notes take over and dominate the profile, that is thick and sweet. When aired a bit, there is toasted wood, toasted coconut, coffee is creamy, the chocolate is milky. The sherry notes nicely round up our experience on the nose. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is sweet and fruity, thick/syrupy as the dried fruits and caramel dominate, while a honey and maple sweetness dominate the mid-palate.The sherry is omnipresent and a bit smoky, that is our second attack on the tasting buds, as the chocolate is creamy, molasses dark, there is some coconut, prunes and other fruits delicious, but sweet, as the sherry is added extra to this ron, the wood charred, dry, a bit spicy... We could notice some menthol note inbetween... Perhaps licorice... 8,2:The finish is long, dry and woody, as the palate notes linger on.Nicely round and syrupy...

Soft rum with a strongly sweet profile. On the nose caramel, vanilla, raisin and a gentle spice, all very round but without real depth. Mild and smooth on the palate, clearly too sweet for my taste, plus some wood and soft spices. The finish stays short and slightly sticky. Overall an uncomplicated but one-dimensional rum whose pronounced sweetness clearly dominates the profile.

Pretty good rum, I find caramelized banana scents on the nose. On the palate, it’s thick with caramel notes. The finish is simple with buttery caramel.
