23 year old rum, aged in port barrels, a smooth taste of toffee, vanilla and fruit. A good tasting experience with chocolate and a good Dominican cigar!

Würzige Aromen, leicht auch Vanille wahrnehmbar und Holz. Kräftiger Auftakt mit Würze, pfeffrig, Lakritz. Dann cremige Süße, Sherry, bevor sich eine auffällige Frische zeigt, fast wie bei Minze oder Zahnpasta. Süße und Frische weiterhin im Abgang. Lässt Punkte liegen wegen der unspektakulären Nase, ansonsten gefällt mir die ungewöhnliche Frische.

Nice Sipping. Round, sweet - but not too sweet - and full of caramel, maple sirup and vanilla from the nose to the finish. Some slight notes of spices though. Sadly the finish is not that long, but fits to the overall good impression. Great value for the price as well.

Und als vorletztes ein 23-jähriger Ron Quorhum von Oliver & Oliver. Die 23 Jahre merkt man ihm an, das Holz ist in Nase und Gaumen spürbar. Ansonsten ist er auch ein etwas süßerer, Vanille, Schokolade und Karamell sind erkennbar.

Den 30-jährigen Quorhum habe ich etwas anders in Erinnerung. Dieser hier liegt stärker bei dunklen, würzigen und nussigen Noten. Auch findet sich eine erdige und sehr holzige Komponente. Da war der ältere Bruder runder und fruchtiger.

Price Worthy, but I’ve choosed the 30yo at 50% for my rumbar. The nose is sweet and nutty. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s sweet, nutty, woody, balanced and rather powerful with a flavor of vanilla.
