8,2:On the nose, sugarcane, flowery, herbaceous, mineral, fresh with tea, Madeira wine barrel impact, dried(apricots, raisins, currants) and yellow fruits, roasted wood notes like dark chocolate, burnt sugar, some vanilla, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, it becomes slightly waxy, citrus fruits arise, the cane is grassy, earthy with cigar tobacco, leather and toffee come out, frankincense and clove. 8,1:On the palate, the attack is spicy, mineral with flowery sugarcane, sweet with honey, earthy with cigar tobacco, roasted wood notes like burnt sugar, nuts, leather, smoky, spicy with pepper, a bit salty, fruity with dried fruits like apricots, raisins, yellow fruits.Madeira barrel impact is strong with tannins...some fruit schnapps hints also pop up in between. 8:The finish is medium long, dry and tannic, with very sweet sugar honey, flowery, grassy, fresh with tea, dried fruits and nutty oak, spicy.

Good Madeira rum. However, for a very good rating, it lacks some complexity and body.

Quite nice but not an exceptional Madeira rum. Overall seems a bit thin and especially lacks complexity.

I didn't expect much taste-wise. But for a group that usually drinks little rum, it's just right. Combined with some personal experiences - if you ever visit Madeira - you can nicely combine an extensive hike with an on-site tasting directly in the distillery. Overall very drinkable, but not outstanding.
