Sipped neat at 62.5%, the alcohol sits surprisingly well-integrated for cask strength. The nose leans on brown sugar and vanilla; the palate carries caramel, yellow fruit and a little chili prickle before a fairly dry, medium finish. One taster likened it to a Barbados rum. Tasty and clean, but a few members found it linear rather than gripping.

Compagnie des Indes Belize 2012 – 62.5% The disappointment of the evening. A nose of brown sugar and caramel, a sharp palate and a finish that's too short. Profile too linear to really captivate.

#7449 13.10.2026 Relaxing with some samples while watching a new crime series on Amazon Prime. Very nice release with a good price tag in my mind. Medium intense, fruits, spice, wood, roasted, floral, caramel, chocolate, natural sweetness.

Pretty Belize. The nose is on caramelized brown sugar and vanilla. The palate leans on caramel, vanilla, and yellow fruits, with a bit of chili and spice. The finish is average on caramel but quite dry. In terms of intensity, it doesn't reach the level of the 14-year-old Belize rums, it remains quite light.

15/03/25: tasted @ Brussels Rhum Festival. Belize doesn't have the most complex flavour profile, but it's always tasty. Reminds me of rum from Barbados. Alcohol was integrated rather well. The best CDI bottling I tasted that day.
