#4596 02.02.2024 Relaxing at home while preparing for a triple tasting next week, phew that's going to be a tough one. Not too bad a rum but I think the ABV could have been better integrated. Nose Wood, light roasted, dried fruit, floral, light caramel, faint medicinal, light chocolate. Palate Wood, roasted, fruity, light nutts, chocolate, light caramel, light medicinal. Finish Medium long, wood, herbal, light nutts, light caramel. The empty glass has some tobacco and faint coffee.

10/12/2025: sample received from my good friend Olivier. First time tasting a rum from Ecuador I think. 17 years of tropical aging in ex-bourbon is impressive and noticeable. The rum is dry and bitter. Alcohol could be integrated a bit better.
