The surprise here is how quiet the Long Pond is. This 12-year Jamaica pot-still got an orange-wine finish, and most drinkers say it rounds things off but pushes the funk into the background. Expect ripe banana, sweet orange, vanilla, a little glue and roasted wood. Fruity and pleasant, though a few call the palate flat and still "rather alcohol forwards" for cask strength.

Nice solid long pond. The orange wine has had very little influence. On the other hand, it is beautifully fruity and intense for this low alcohol strength. Price-performance ratio fits. Clear recommendation to buy/drink

Had the Sedunum bottling. The nose is subtle even if diverse nuances are there. The Orange Wine finish makes the rum very round. Even if I have the impression that the Jamaican notes thereby get into the background. Good trib strength.Good rum that brings some layers of flavor. Fun to drink. Very good PLV.

#4213 Looking at the price tag you get a good rum at a decent price. Fruity with nice spices and roasted wood notes. The esters are there but just not a lot of them. The empty glass is nice and has some chocolate and very light licorice.

Skin me now not so from the stool. Still quite alcoholic and somehow I see no sense in the finish. Would probably not have tipped at the first smell on Long Pond ...

Fajnová vůně tropického ovoce, esterů, nějaké chemie a lehce citrusů. Chuťově je to spíš sladký pomeranč s tropickým ovocem a tříslovinou. Lahodné. V závěru už kromě obvyklých jamajských podezřelých je znát grapefruitová hořkost.

Very greedy nose of vanilla, cocoa and sugar, enhanced by a slight woodiness and glue. After a little aeration, the fruit comes forward, including ripe banana, followed by a timid orange finish. The orange is much more present on the palate from the 1st sip, with a slight spiciness and sweetness. Vanilla, wood and a "vinous" note are also present. The finish is less greedy, with spices and menthol. Nice surprise👍
