Famille Ricci Exception Jamaica Blend (Vintage & CIE) 2008

8.4/10
Rated by Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰, Skyfly & 8 more

What surprises people first is how well the 58.5% hides — several tasters call the alcohol perfectly integrated. This 14-year Hampden pot-still blend leans buttery and fruity on the nose (tropical fruit, toffee, almond confection, a touch of varnish), then turns peppery on the palate with roasted nuts, wood and a little chocolate. Fresh citrus and light ester keep it lively rather than heavy.

  • Alcohol well integrated
  • Fruity buttery nose
  • Fresh citrus lift

Buttery, peppery Hampden blend, ester well-behaved A well-liked Jamaican blend that drinks softer than its strength suggests. Fruity and buttery up front, peppery and woody on the palate. Funk fans may want more ester punch.

Exciting blend with tropical and citrus fruits, light esters, some wood and spices that turn a bit peppery on the palate. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. There are certainly better Ricci blends, but for 70€ this is an absolute great value knockout.

Very good blend. I really enjoyed it despite not being a fan of this origin. Alcohol very well integrated. Good job.

Insgesamt echt toll.
