Neat it drinks loud and green — grassy, herbaceous, with a lingering funk and an oily, meaty edge that reminds people of Paranubes or a wild cachaça. Several tasters find it too vegetal to sip and reach for a shaker instead: it makes a "fantastic daiquiri" and a serious ti-punch. Bright mango and floral notes cut through the aggression. Didn’t have time to write thoughts down but another great rum from Mexico. Like Clairin, they’re as different as the are alike, but if you like Dakabend, Paranubes, etc, you’ll love to have a bottle of this too.

An interesting fusion of rum styles; it has some of the aggression on the nose of a Grenadian, or its Mexican sibling Paranubes, but with some sweetness and subtleties that reminds me of a cachaça (especially the buckwheat cereal notes on the nose).

This white rum is a very interesting sip. There is a lingering funk that lends better to mixing than to being sipped neat. Overall, a very tasty, and interesting rum. +10 to the score if it’s used as a mixer.
