Good c<>h ... the finish here is not at all disturbing. Slight smoky notes from wherever . Nose Fruity, ester marzipan and pineapple. A bit pungent on the palate .... Fruit here less more wood (barrel influence). Sherry finish rather in the background. Edit... after 35min in the glass, the sherry comes through clearly. In May Tai very horny ... better than pure 😎🇯🇲

... Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

Tested against RX12147. In contrast, it unfortunately leaves the duel as the loser. We have to admit that this was a bit unfair from the start. But overall, it is better than expected. It is definitely worth considering for the reduced price, which is currently called.

Brings proper Hampden funk into the glass. Ripe banana, pineapple, marzipan, esters, and solvents meet spicy barrel notes and a bit of smoke. The 62% gives a lot of punch but is well integrated. Powerful, complex, and full of character. Overall a very successful Hampden.

Unmistakably a Hampden.I'm not a particularly big friend of the finish, here at least it does not break too much.He needs his time in the glass and then he can be, here thanks to the finish, good sippen.But does one want that with the Mark C<>H at all?A good, but not exceptional Hampden.

The overripe banana is quickly complemented in flavour by the young wood. Full of esters, varnish and pineapple, of course.

Mega. Beautiful, classic fruit as you love it at Hampden. Pineapple dominates, but there's also some starfruit and a slight raspberry note. Over time, peppery spice aromas appear. Everything is tied together by a very present wood note from the cask. This fits perfectly but is on the edge of being too much. And for some disappointing, for others welcome: The cask notes kill the chemical notes of funkiness. Here you only taste fruit, the wood from the cask and a light spice note – no “nail salon”, no glue, no turpentine and no racing fuel. Clearly more mature than the LROK from Kinghaven (distilled 2007, bottled 2021).

Notes of vanilla and dried fruits and woody and slightly smoky and light sherry notes and has the typical Jamaica funk and the rum has a much better price than Hampden 15.
