Longueteau Constellation 2022 (Saint-Malo)
"Une explosion de canne soyeuse" is how one member puts it, and that's the through-line here: fresh-cut sugarcane, lemon and lemongrass, with a green, peppery edge running underneath. At 57,5% the alcohol barely registers — several tasters swear it drinks softer than the proof, so it goes down easy neat or in a Ti-Punch. Most call it one of the best white agricoles they've had.

Silky, cane-forward white agricole that hides its proof Agricole fans rate this near the top — silky cane, citrus and pepper, and heat that hides well. A few find the palate drier and shorter than the standout nose.

28.01.2026 Retasting and I still find it a really good rum. -------------- A very nice unaged release from this destillery. The nose is there as soon as you open the bottle and you're in no doubt that it's an Agricole. Price to quality is extremely good.

I keep changing my mind about this white, so I re-tasted it blind with Longueteau 62 and Bologne La Coulisse. It comes last due to its lack of flavors especially on the palate. On the nose you can discreetly find a bit of sugar, it reminded me a bit of popcorn if you look hard, even if that makes me less credible... not much to say about the palate, the length is average on spices and pepper, which gives a slight impression of bitterness. So an average white. When tasting it alone again I analyze the palate better: easy, soft, fruity, fatty, but this was completely erased compared to the others.

This rum, Longueteau Constellation Blanc 2022 from the Esperance Distillery, is a limited edition (17400 bottles) for the 2022 Route du Rhum. It’s a blend of rum from two different plots. Red Cane from plot No 1 (dry and maritime climate) and Blue Cane from plot No 7 (humid climate). The blend rested for 8 months before bottled. The nose is complex, fruity, fresh, floral, creamy and round almost velvety with scents of sugarcane, pepper, grass, citrus and lemon. At the palate it’s still complex, round, silky, floral, sweet and a little bitter with flavors of mineral, lime, pepper, grass, citrus and sugarcane. The finish is long, very round, sweet and vegetal with flavors of pepper, grass, citrus and lime.

Then a great Agricole afterwards. A completely different world to the Swell, that's what makes rum so cool :) A great, fresh, floral and grassy nose. Then very herbal on the palate. Agricole and sugar cane are clearly recognizable.

This has been on my list for a long time. Very tasty and unmistakably an Agricole. Vegetable with citrus fruits, grass and young wood... I would like to compare it with other white agricoles, I still have a little bit left.
Review by Eric Frechin
It's a white rum that I rank in the top of the top. It has everything to please, just from the smell you are attracted by a scent of raspberry, lime and sugar cane. It's delicious to the max! The mouth doesn't disappoint either, the agricole is tasty with a kick of lemon and pepper. Plus a beautiful packaging.

"Very well-balanced, nicely warmed A mix of fruit, herbs and spices with great character... The more you compare it to other whites, the more you realize it's exceptional! To sum up, my tasting notes: Nose: Grass, Citrus, Sugar cane On the palate: Tropical fruit, lime, grass, sugar cane. Finish: Citrus, Peppery".
Review by TheRhumhoe
An exceptional white agricultural rum. The nose offers a wide range of aromas, from the fruitiness of exotic fruits (pineapple) and citrus (lemon) to floral and vegetal notes of fermented sugarcane, followed by shimmering spices. Notes of lactic fermentation also emerge after aeration. A balanced, generous rum. Exquisitely round on the palate. Sugar cane, citrus, exotic fruit, grass, spices and notes of fermentation offer a very supple, easy-drinking, well-constructed juice. The alcohol is very well integrated. Aeration makes it even easier to drink. The finish, of decent length, remains in the same tonality as the palate, i.e. tart citrus, floral and vegetal notes of sugarcane, a hint of spice and tropical fruit. The finish is drier and more agricultural, but still delicious. An excellent white rum, superb neat or as a Ti Punch, at an unbeatable value for money.

Too vegetal, on pepper and licorice. Not really for me. Not my style of agricole which I prefer more loaded with sugar.
Review by Djehey
Nice, a good balance and a nice intensity. Also, there is an interesting licorice on the palate and finish. This makes it a complete and varied white rum, especially on the palate. The nose is perhaps a bit more classic.

An exceptional Ti punch with this Longueteau Constellation blanc. 👃🏼 Lots of yellow lemon, also the vegetal note of fresh cane. This freshness continues with deliciously herbal accents. 👅 Lots of fruity citrus (yellow lemon) and its sweetness is fantastic (I added very little cane sugar, but I also tasted it neat on another occasion). 🎆 The explosion of citrus stays a good while in the mouth. In my opinion, the best white agricole rum in the world along with Neisson Dekolaj Godinot.
Review by Benoit Mahe
A milky note quite present in the nose and in the mouth. The finish is discreet on liquorice. Otherwise we find a rather classical profile. Overall a good white agricultural rum but a little below a Neisson bio 52,5 for example.

An expressive, creamy, smooth but also somewhat delicate nose. Harmonious and fresh full cane. However, I find the palate less forward and less harmonious, more straight and dry. The salty side remains pleasant. A bit disappointed by the palate which lacks indulgence but the nose remains top class. Drops a bit.

So this is a cuvée distilled at Longueteau in 2022 from red cane from their Parcel No. 1 and blue cane from Parcel No. 7. This cuvée honors the mythical Route du Rhum (a sailing race held every 4 years between Saint-Malo, Brittany, and Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe). And for that, they released a beautiful bluish bottle (even if I admit the big neck makes serving a bit complicated). The reduction was particularly slow (8 months) and fractionated to obtain this juice bottled at 57.5%. Limited edition to about 17,400 bottles (so it’s quite easy to find). The nose is on fresh sugarcane with honeyed and slightly peppery notes. It’s a very frank nose that arouses interest. The attack on the palate is very balanced (you might even think it’s reduced more than 57.5%), it’s very vegetal on the palate, the cane is honored! The peppery and its fruity – citrus side is frankly very pleasant. The length is rather persistent and even surprising on the peppery! You spend a good tasting moment accompanied by perfect softness. The glass empties too quickly and even more in Ti-Punch! A rum in full control. As often, you are not disappointed by Longueteau whites! And no hesitation, I doubled it...

The nose is light, with citrus and hazelnuts. The palate is very fine and delicate, appears to be 40° and has vegetal, cane, citrus, pepper/ginger and nut scents, very round with a light finish. In the empty fermented glass.
Review by BnBrt
Very nice surprise, a ti punch all by itself. The nose isn't the most attractive but the rest delivers. I really like it. Light nose, very green on freshly cut cane. Sharp attack, very round, a ti punch all on its own. Finish on vegetal, more grassy cane. A nice length for a white. It leaves a pleasant freshness in the mouth.

Very nice balance on citrus, pepper, sweetness. I'm buying

For agricole lovers, one of the best I ever tasted. Great perfume of cane and a powerful taste of grass/lemongrass/cane. You don't feel the high alcohol degree, it slides easily. Excellent 👌 Friends, a little update after finishing the bottle and in French to better convey the emotions... This rum is crazy! If you like white agricole rums from the Antilles, you must buy this one, it is deliciously fragrant and the high alcohol content is absolutely not felt. I confirm my comment: best agricole ever tasted 🙏

Very good. A lovely attack, ripe fruit, a very pastry-like rum with excellent cane flavors. Superb discovery. Great! The only "downside" is that I find the length in.biuche a little too short.
Review by Mc Pirate
Extraordinary nose on cane sugar (Canadian) on freshness! Mouth sharper on acidity and vegetal, unfortunately does not follow the nose! To try in ti’punch! Warm finish

A gem this white rum, it stands on its own to drink neat, the sugar of the cane is present. So far the best white I've tasted.
Review by Penna Bianca
Simply one of the best whites released recently. An explosion of silky cane on the nose and palate. Great success.
Review by Greg Mariotti
For me, it's one of the best whites I've tasted.

A nose of cane, citrus and well-ripe exotic fruits. A rum that coats the mouth well with a very beautiful length. Simply excellent.
