A rare and often sought-after rum, because Constellation white is an excellent rum. Its aged version, however, does not deserve the hype around it. Very basic, with a disappointing lack of complexity, it does not offer great tasting pleasure.

Nice to taste a young rum with a light reduction that leaves it powerful. Woody. Citrus. Vanilla on the nose. Some stewed fruit (pear). On the palate, it's lively, peppery, woody. Spicy on the tongue. The oak is there. The citrus remains. It's rather very pleasant!

A pleasant rum, a bit too tame for my taste but surely a nice gateway into the world of rum. Tasted after the constellation white. The nose is very light even after 15 min opening. Less cane, a bit of fruit (banana? apple?). Light on the palate, a bit too flat for my taste, still discreet. The alcohol is very (too?) well integrated. A bit of pepper. Short finish on barrel notes.

I tried this rum at the store yesterday and it’s a pretty nice agricole that isn’t too vegetal in its flavour profile. A very pleasant rum.
