A wine merchant I was talking to about my search for characterful rum had me taste a bottle bottom he couldn't even sell me due to being out of stock. Since then... I had to have it. I find the other evaluations quite bad for this funky rum that reminds me of a Jamaican! Raw, crazy, no restraint, no finesse, no caramel but rather beastliness. A curiosity on the palate... a ghost returned from afar to surprise us. Notes that follow each other and question us... flavors that take us by surprise and make us question. Don Papa fans move on! If you want to venture into the bizarre: pour yourself a glass and explore the territory of the elephantom!

Rum of little interest. It says Africa on it, but I wonder where it comes from. Hardly better than a don papa: sugar and alcohol but probably less sweetener. Frankly, you can skip it...
