Trade fair tasting, therefore shorter: Barbados standard in top form, very round sweetness, fruity as expected. The port remains very subtle but blends in nicely.
Review by Jindrich Strobl
Very nice, full body, at the end pleasant soft note of the port wine.

On The Rocks: On the nose a mild vanilla, oak and spice mixture with some sweetness and molasses that is overall a balanced and smooth aroma. Taste reveals a very smooth and delightful spice, oak and port sweetness mixtures that is well balanced. Finish is medium length with oak and port slowly fading away. Mixed Pepsi Zero:

Free sample time. A little thin and artificial, not my cup of tea.

Relaxed Barbados but why 10g dosage?😪
Review by Unanswered Prayer
this rum brings a lot to the table. it possesses some interesting notes, particularly cake and licorice, and they serve their purpose well. what i find unfortunate is the lack of vibrancy in the rum. there is a 10 g/L dosage that could be blamed for this, but i also find the wood aging to take more of a backseat than i would like. the finish is also subtle, though pleasant and ethereal. overall, this is a fine rum, but perhaps not entirely worth its price point of $65. it has some unreached potential.
