12 year old Foursquare finished in Cognac and Pineau barrels. An exciting experiment! Very round and smooth. Ideal product for beginners who like slightly spicy yet sweet rums. However, there is a slight penalty for the relatively thin finish.

#4109 A light easily drinkable Foursquare. Fruity with vanilla and a sweet touch to the palate. Well balanced in the profile but would have loved a higher ABV. The empty glass has nice sweet berries and a touch of cognac. Price to quality is very good.

Nose promising but aromatic unfortunately a bit spicy and thin...

Light, sweet, mild. Interesting finish, but unfortunately without depth. Ideal for beginners.

Very nice fruity, classic Barbados on the nose. After 10 minutes of airing, the cognac note is also clearly evident. However, the lush grape sweetness of the Pineau is more present. Less raisiny and more in the direction of ice wine. The cognac is then much more present on the palate. Much drier than I would have expected from a bold wine. Woody and pulling on the tongue, then a certain bitterness comes through. Good, but not as mature as I would have expected. Nice barrel combination, but could certainly be better.

Verrassend. Rum x Cognac x pineau de charente. Zoetje, toch flink wat rum. Cognac in de geur? In de smaak rum mix met Cognac.
