Nice stuff. For my taste, way too sweet. Beginners will love it because it doesn't taste alcoholic. The Cognac finish is the highlight for me! A great bold move! 17.02.23: always good and tastes better every time.

12 year old Foursquare finished in Cognac and Pineau barrels. An exciting experiment! Very round and smooth. Ideal product for beginners who like slightly spicy yet sweet rums. However, there is a slight penalty for the relatively thin finish.

#4109 A light easily drinkable Foursquare. Fruity with vanilla and a sweet touch to the palate. Well balanced in the profile but would have loved a higher ABV. The empty glass has nice sweet berries and a touch of cognac. Price to quality is very good.

At first quite alcoholic on the nose, some dried fruit, subtle vanilla and a hint of pipe tobacco. Initially, the impression of dryness is very prominent, but this quickly gives way to slightly sweet and fruity impressions. I also believe I taste a slight vanilla in the background. In my opinion, it is a very tasty drop suitable for those who are already a bit beyond the beginner stage.

Remaining sample found, review was still missing. Very light, unexciting Foursquare that is ideal for beginners, so you don't get knocked out right away by the full blast from the Seale house. Light wood influences with vanilla notes, the alcohol comes a bit to the forefront but is well kept in check by the influences of the Cognac finish. All in all a solid bottling, although a bit more punch at the end would have been nice.

Very nice fruity, classic Barbados on the nose. After 10 minutes of airing, the cognac note is also clearly evident. However, the lush grape sweetness of the Pineau is more present. Less raisiny and more in the direction of ice wine. The cognac is then much more present on the palate. Much drier than I would have expected from a bold wine. Woody and pulling on the tongue, then a certain bitterness comes through. Good, but not as mature as I would have expected. Nice barrel combination, but could certainly be better.

Surprising. Rum x Cognac x pineau de charente. Sweet, quite a lot of rum. Cognac in the nose? In the taste, rum mixed with Cognac.
