West Indies Plantation Barbados One-Time Limited 20 2013
Most people land in the same place on this one: tasty and well-made, but a bit tame. Expect vanilla, caramel, coconut and warm spice with a honeyed sweetness — classic Barbados. A few tasters got early complexity that "lasts but fades fast," and a couple found it thin toward the end. Solidly enjoyable, just don't expect fireworks.

Review by Tim
Delicious rum from Barbados, with a very likely finish in a pre-occupied barrel can be clearly heard. This results in a rum that contains the typical Barbados and wine notes. In the mouth also with significant sweetness, which could have exceeded a natural level or at least very close to the limit. Price to quality: midfield, there are better alternatives.
Review by Decky Hicks Doughty
The nose is quite dry. Subtle coconut and woody nutmeg notes. Some generic mixed dried fruit. Hint of raspberry. The palate is coconut and oak forward. Sweet honey and a touch of tobacco. Peaches joining in after a moment. I found the finish to be middle of the road in length. Notes of mocha and oak with a touch of raisin. Overall it's another great rum from Plantation. Better than the standard Barabados release, if not by too much.
Review by TheRhumhoe
A classic Barbados rum with its notes of coconut and caramel, sweet spices, chocolate and dried fruits. The attack in the mouth is very smooth for the 50 proof, with a hint of coffee and nuts. The finish is of medium length, warm and spicy, woody, vanilla and chocolate with a hint of fruit. A rum without extravagance, simple, greedy and effective.
Review by Mark Leggett
Aromas of caramel, orange, spice maybe cinnamon and hints of barrel. Flavors of dried fruit, honey, caramel and a woody hint. This is complex and has a lot going on. It is a great sipper and too good to use as a mixer I think.
Review by Lukas Jäger
Barbados pure, but not exactly the most exciting side: vanilla, honey and caramel, all in all right sweet, this could also be a classic Spanish. Initially, I still had a nice glue note, but it dissipated quite quickly. Otherwise, there is perhaps some peach to be found, but after that it gets thin pretty quickly.
Review by Beancheese
This is a nice, easy drinking slightly sweet and smooth rum. While it doesn’t boast the kind of crazy complexity that we often equate to something being ‘great’ this rum does a great job of just being solid, straightforward and pretty well crafted for what it is. Wood and honey, spice and mild fruit.

Not a very complex flavour profile but tasty. Easy sipping whilst still punchy. Well priced

Thinking about the price tag on this bottle you actually get a lot. Less fruity than your average Barbados rum, but I like it. Warm on the palate with nice spices and a hint of honey. The empty glass is wonderful after an hour.
Review by Rodolphe
A nice rum from Barbados but without more. It is a bit overwhelmed by the coconut on the nose and lacks complexity on the palate. It's still pleasant and quite greedy but I wouldn't buy a whole bottle.
Review by Andreas Egge
Typisch Barbados, Karamell. Die 50,2 % Alkohol sind recht gut eingebunden. Leicht süß, holzig, fruchtig. Wirkt zu Anfang sehr komplex, lässt aber schnell nach. Dieser Rum ist einfach, solide, geradeaus.
Review by Vycas
I like it a lot but at the price point, I’d probably pass next time. It made a great Christmas present though. I haven’t mixed it, but it does well enough on its own or with an ice cube.

Seriously, all this foursquare are more or less the same, and this is an tremendous achievement. Rarely a fallout to below the 70 points. Bourbon cask leaves vanilla and spices, some coconut, and overall a bit boring but reliable profile, even with these ib's
