The surprise here is how quiet 64.7% can feel — nearly everyone notes the alcohol is buried under tropical fruit, passionfruit and mango, with vanilla, glue and a bit of oak behind it. Then it wakes up: a green chili, jalapeño tingle that "explodes" on the tongue and runs long. Roasty coffee and leather round out this Clarendon MMW. Some find a touch too much acidity.

Outstanding smooth and balanced compared to other recent MMW releases. Alcohol is ridicously well integrated looking at the ABV number. On the downside this comes with a little less punch (at least as my first impression). Looking forward to a little cross-tasting soon

Well, this one really tingles on the tongue, but this time in a positive way, a nice bottling from MMW; however, not for beginners or the faint-hearted, it demands attention!

Good monymusk with typical Jamaica characteristics. Especially the long aftertaste I like. Since the fruitiness again really comes into its own.

First sort out what all arrives at the nose: tropical fruit basket, vanilla, good portion of glue, tangerine, caramel, barrel. Toasty on the palate, a few dirty notes, long finish which again ends with tropical fruit. The high ABV is well integrated. MMW has not yet disappointed with the other Clarendons tasted so far with this Marque (2004-2015)....

The alcohol is well integrated. Tropical fruit, vanilla, a little sweetness, some wood. Unfortunately a little too much acidity. But a nice, quite long-lasting fruity finish. Solid MME bottling from S.B.S

#5463 07.07.2025 Relaxing with a few samples after a tough workday, Nose Fresh, medium intense, banana, light wood, light roasted, nuts, faint caramel, light plum, faint rubber. Palate Oily, light wood, light cherry, fresh, faint mint, faint smoke, light banana, light earthy, faint salt, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint smoke, naturally sweet, light salt, light plum. Empty glass Vanilla, light chocolate, light nuts, faint prunes, light mint.

Nice monymusk that defies the high abv with lots of fruit, very aromatic and round, then also found this chili note in the finish. Nice finish 👍

A very nice Monymusk Wedderburn, which shows a few young woody notes and sometimes a bit rough, but given the high alcohol content, which is otherwise very well integrated, that's not surprising. Many tropical fruits and a pleasantly subtle toffee-honey sweetness provide, alongside a slightly dirty, smoky side and a bit of menthol, a rum with strong character. I’m already looking forward to more 2010 MMW releases with a bit more age.

On the nose, tropical fruits, especially honeydew melon and mango. In addition, glue, herbs, caramel and some wood. Later hazelnuts join in. On the palate for just under 65% top integrated alcohol and rather on the toastier side. Strong coffee, wood and leather. Vanilla and some fruit round out the profile and create a very round balanced rum. This is also the only real weakness of the rum.

The tickles quite well in the mouth, reminds me of a little chilies. Must say that he explodes in the mouth quite nice and lasts a long time. He is quite demanding. I find if you give him a little time, he is still a lot rounder.

Fair tasting, therefore more succinct:Lots of esters and fruit on the nose, passion fruit is particularly noticeable.Quite a lot of acidity in the mouth, but impressively different with very green jalapeno note.

Light golden color. The aroma is lightly estery, but very fresh, minty, floral, honey, tropical fruit. The taste copies that and highlights the mint perfectly. The finish is long, slightly astringent, and again my lips go numb. This is the Clarendon that I enjoy.
