Anyone who leans agricole but wants something older and softer will find a lot to like here. Despite the molasses-and-cane blend, the grassy, vegetal side leads, backed by dried fruit, sweet spices and a woody, caramel finish. Several tasters get orange liqueur and light acetone glue on the nose. Easy to drink, though a few find it a touch young and a little "monotone" for its age.

Pleasant and syrupy it lacks a little watt but makes up for it with a nice complexity and a beautiful length. Perfect companion with a Cigar Vegafina line 1998.

#4006 This one has more complexity to it than the 10 year old release. Lovely fruits mixed with roasted wood and spices. I like the caramel note in the profile. Draws nice curtains and the empty glass is lovely. Price to quality is so good that I ordered a bottle.

A blend of agricultural and molasses rum, with the scent of cane juice being instantly felt. The floral, woody and spicy notes take over, leaving only a slight fruity nuance. On the palate, the fruit has completely disappeared and the typical agricultural notes cover the whole mouth. Grassy and vegetal notes mingle with toasty aromas and nuts. It's dry but quite light with the 45%. The whole is easy to drink but remains quite classic, without bringing incredible depth or complexity.The finish is slightly reminiscent of dried fruits and quite fresh and spicy agricultural notes. A blend with strong agricultural dominance, unfortunately dull and monotonous for what was expected. The quality / price ratio is average, rather good for the age account but not extraordinary for the perceived aromas.

Le rhum Isautier Louis et Charles est un rhum facile à appréhender. Le nez, boisé et frais peut faire penser à un agricole au premier abord. La bouche est dominée par les notes végétales douces et boisées. La finale, moyenne est fraîche, boisée et caramélisée.

Tasted in a 3cl sample. Nose: orange liqueur, dark chocolate orangette, a bit of acetone glue, candied fruits (orange, mango), a bit of salinity, a bit of bitterness, mild spices (cinnamon), it also opens on a hint of freshness. Then melted caramel appears with its salt, the nose softens and becomes more gourmand. The woodiness is not left behind with a subtle wax applied on an old piece of furniture. Palate: lots of orange liqueur but also clementine, a nice texture, alcohol a bit too present for a 45% reduction. Still this nice woodiness on retro-olfaction but not as fine as on the nose, evolving towards a young Bally side with quite a bit of spices and wood glue. The palate is recessed compared to the nose. Medium and monolithic finish on a roasted and woody side.

Tasted at RhumFest so incomplete tasting... More accomplished than the classic range, the agricole side dominates with dried fruit and soft spices. The whole is quite indulgent but lacks character to reach the next level.
