It tastes like an Agricole rum, fresh, grassy, very mild, slight acidity. It tastes quite classic like a good Agricole rum. I actually thought Arehucas works with molasses and not sugarcane juice - but in any case, it doesn't taste like molasses. The seleccion familiar, unlike the regular Blanco, is not made from imported sugarcane but directly from the fields on Gran Canaria. The only downside is that they probably used dosage/sugar addition. That would explain the distinctly mild, balanced taste. But overall great, almost the best rum from the distillery in my view.

25.01.2023 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Transparent. Nose Light, sweet, sugarcane, light caramel, faint herbal, spice. Palate Light, sweet, sugarcane, light citrus, faint herbal, light caramel, light vegetal. Finish Short to medium, light, sweet, light citrus, faint vegetal, sugarcane. This is definitely a mixer.
