Nose: meh, better in the mouth and a nice profile. But I wouldn't need a bottle of it. Edit: leaves quite a dirty profile with some rubber in the finish (in a positive way)

Not the best rum from St. Lucia but still pretty good. The alcohol. Stings in the beginning so I suggest resting it for a while before tasting. Swish the first sip around your mouth and wait a short while before the next sip.

Tasted against Plantation St. Lucia 2010 LMDW / rx10566 Actually, I usually decide in favor of the higher ABV... but here LMDW scores better. The Nectar is unfortunately quite alcoholic on the nose and also pinches a bit on the palate. But it rewards on the palate with a nice dirty note that stays in the finish. A pity, actually a lot of potential in the dirty note, but the alcohol smells cheap. Otherwise, much more would be possible. Definitely needs some time in the glass and then is better. LMDW is overall rounder, more consistent and better – and rather of the fruitier kind.

On the nose, solvent type Barbados. Yeast side also stands out quite a bit. Alcohol not too present on the nose, you can smell the aromas well without being overwhelmed. On the palate, the yeast side comes out a lot. That's the aroma that stands out the most, then you get wood and ripe fruits arriving. Very pleasant finish, leaning towards woody, exotic fruity.

I had never tasted rum from Saint Lucia and it's really good! The nose is very fresh, with mint. Fruity notes of citrus (orange – grapefruit). Exotic spices. It's very appealing. The attack on the palate is generous and atypical (at least for me), it's invigorating and perfectly balanced. You get flambéed banana bursting, orange, mint... I honestly loved this rum and on top of that, it was released in 2019 for 60-70 €, a more than nice value for money. Unfortunately, it's impossible to find a year later. Gone on Catawiki for 250 €
