Plantation Saint Lucia 2010

Not what most people expect from a molasses rum — the nose leans fresh and minty, with grapefruit and orange running through it. On the palate there's flambéed banana, ripe fruit, a bit of oak, and for some tasters a slightly "dirty" rubbery edge in the finish that fans of the style enjoy. At 53.6% the alcohol can sting early, so give it time in the glass.

The community says
  • Fresh citrus-mint nose
  • Flambéed banana
  • But: Hot on the nose

Expected std markers I'm used too, but it had not a lot to deliver, rather thin finish, not memorable experience

Not the best rum from St. Lucia but still pretty good. The alcohol. Stings in the beginning so I suggest resting it for a while before tasting. Swish the first sip around your mouth and wait a short while before the next sip.

Richtig guter Lucia! Vielleicht nicht perfekt ausbalanciert, aber schöne Komplexität!

Bouteille très sympa ! Assez originale. Manque un peu d’intégration d’alcool.

Saint Lucia Distillers

Avg Rating 8.2/10 over 230 Rums

St. Lucia Distillers is the island's only distillery and one of the most versatile in the Caribbean. Four stills give it eight different distillates, molasses and cane juice, pot and column, which its blenders turn into everything from the humble Bounty to the cult Chairman's Reserve and the super-premium Admiral Rodney. It rebuilt itself after an arson fire and is now owned by the same group as Martinique's J.M and Clement.
