#4104 This release has more bang for your buck. Really nice and intense and nice curtains in the glass. Fruity with almost rotting fruits and nice esters. All in good balance once rested properly. Spicy and warm on the palate with a very long finish. The empty glass is really nice with more fruit and some medicinal notes.

Great NY 2009 for Denmark. But in direct comparison to the CDI NY 2009 Perola and the CDI NY 2009 Sweden for me only rank 3.

Would have blindly guessed Hampden, but New Yarmouth isn't that far off either :) Definitely also (overripe) tropical fruits, of course banana and pineapple, but also esters and a bit of caramel.

Exactly my thing - tons of esters, a basket of tropical fruits (especially pineapple and banana, but also mango), a good portion of varnish, some cookie dough and light spice and wood aromas. Alcohol is perfectly integrated!

The 2009 New Yarmouth vintage also has consistently high quality. The bottling for Denmark has somewhat fewer cookie dough notes, but more fruit notes compared to the Perola bottling. Alcohol is also well integrated.

NY High Ester blind tasting with JNY20, JNY19, JNY15, JNE16 and TWJ 2009. Lots of fruit on the nose, plus some wood and spices. On the palate then also the typical NY profile with marzipan, cookie dough, ester, tropical fruits, but also wood and spices. Overall for me also a very good NY.

22-03-2025 - Rate 8.4 Not the rum I remembered. Missing classic New Yarmouth nose and palate. Decent rum, but whe weakest of the CDI New Yarmourh’s Not the same distillation year as the other 4 CDI’s I have tasted.

Similar high level as the 2009 bottled for Perola. However, feels a bit more sour and clearly saltier than the sister cask. Either way, an absolutely solid New Yarmouth 2009 you can't go wrong with. But I like the one with 60.2% a bit better in direct comparison.

Terribly good for a 12 year old, lovely citrusy taste of mango, overripe "estery" banana fruit. From the smell I'd say it's a HV Hampden. The taste is already going back to NY, however if someone told me it was a Hampden blend I would believe them.

Beautiful new Yarmouth from Compagnie des Indes. Different from Jamaicans I'm used to, spicy with clear Jamaican over ripe tropical fruits. Long finish. Controlled notes of acetone and glue. Very enjoyable.

A good Jamaican, with real finesse on the palate followed by power. The balance is more in battle mode, making the tasting complex and interesting. From fruit, to varnish, to woodiness, ending on bitter citrus. The finish remains too bitter for my tastes, but it's still a fine product (hence the rating, which remains subjective).
