Agricole fans curious about young Marie-Galante rhum are the right audience here — just temper expectations. Expect fresh sugarcane, light herbs, a touch of citrus and honey, with a green, slightly bitter tail. Several tasters found it pleasant but underpowered: one called it "a bit boring," another felt the agricole notes weren't "allowed to shine." Drinkable, easygoing, but thin for a vieux.

Junger Agricole, der deutlich unter seinem Potenzial bleibt. In der Nase frisches Zuckerrohr, leichte Kräuter und etwas Zitrus, insgesamt aber eher dünn. Am Gaumen weich und sehr zurückhaltend, mit grüner Frucht, mildem Holz und etwas Süsse, jedoch ohne echte Tiefe. Die geringe Reifezeit und die deutliche Verdünnung machen sich klar bemerkbar. Insgesamt trinkbar, aber wenig charaktervoll und schnell vergessen.

This is a rum that is a bit out of balance. The flavours are there of an Agricole, but it's like they're not allowed to shine.

On the nose, it feels like a thick cloth was placed over the rum barrel (it smells like a damp tea towel). On the mouth, besides the fresh Agricole notes, you notice the Moscatel finish with a fruity sweetness, although I can not perceive the PX finish (in total 4 months in the finish). The finish is again very shallow. In sum, unfortunately, very weak-breasted.

A freshness and a very pleasant honeyed side. It is balanced and does a bit more than its age. Unfortunately, the finish is a bit too earthy, green, and bitter. It's not very pleasant. A shame. Also, the price seems a bit too high to me.
